They seem to be all doing it with some new Android devices. Samsung recently released an Android device with onlt a 3 meg camera & my LG Optimus Android phone also has a 3 meg camera. Is this a way of making them more afordable or what. Although I do say my camera is actually good
there's going to be a war in the mid-range smartphone arena this year. In regions like Asia where prepaid users outnumber postpaid subscribers 9:1 price is going to be a major consideration. The Spica sells locally here at PHP 13,800.00 or around 243 euros but it's so in demand it's become hard to find.
If SE doesn't have good midrange Android phones, those Spica owners are going to upgrade to high end Samsung android phones (or LG , also popular). Whether Xperia was the right brand to do it in is an open question.

There is nothing wrong though with making Android affordable to the masses with a cheaper option which may do some good profits wise. I am sure they will still make the high end models. I don't mind the 3 meg camera just they could have at least put an led flash on it
Agree, however I do not agree with SE using the Xperia on any old copy and paste phone, I don't know why they can't crat a new model letter for the X8/X10mini.
