Dont you find Bada really limited or annoying with its options as opposed to Symbian ?

The other day i used my girlfriends and it wouldnt let me cancel a download from Samsung Apps. 20mb the file was, but every time i hit the icon, it just paused the download and then if i hit it again it restarted it.

It was only until the next day, after feeling pretty bad about using up 20mb of my girlfriends unlimited (T-Mobile 150mb unlimited - yeah right) bandwith, which probably resulted in her being charged, for an app which failed to run too, did i notice instead if you hit the edit button in the top left corner of the menu screen you can cancel it from there.

Not very intuitive if you ask me !

No i donīt, and it's just the opposite. I had the Satio for a while and i just prefer the Wave and it's UI

You're right to cancel a download the only option is hit the edit button and cancel it.

I was going deep into the phones settings, even though they're not very deep at all, trying to figure out how to stop the download. Rather silly i think to edit the menu icons in order to cancel a download.

The two just arent linked in my mind. Its like, selecting a new ringtone and going into display options. Silly.

Regarding the point of settings, i do find the Wave's settings really shallow. You go into settings to find things like display, connectivity etc, as you would expect, but where on a Symbian handset you'd find lots of options, menus and submenus, on the Bada phone you get a single screen with very little to pick from.

I remember one setting, for downloading i was expecting to see lots of options where to save files to, what connection to use, that kind of thing, to find only one option, which if i remember right was "download via wifi priority". Is that it !? is that all the options i get to choose from ? yes or no ? Limited indeed !

What you find *Shallow*, others might find user friendly mate. =) I have used symbian almost all my life and know the menu-submenu system that it follows, what you miss is that the same menu sub-menu path gets a lot of criticism that Symbian receives as a touch driven OS, not to mention the inexplicable lag and frequent crashes/freezes that it gets for an OS that is considered to be the most *mature*. And what was the download that gave you that option btw ?

And from where does the styling Indicate that it is more for the ladies ? Metal means *for ladies* ?

How is it that by going into a menu such as connectivity, to find you only have one option user friendly ?

I call the vast options of Symbian more user friendly. For example, when i connect to the internet on my phone, i have it set to always ask which connection id like to use, wifi, 3G or another source.

On the Bada equiped Wave theres no such option. You're forced to use 3G, which is expensive unless you have a decent data plan. How do you use wifi ? i cant even figure it out other than how to turn it on or off ! not very user friendly at all

Steve Litchfield described the Wave perfectly when he said its someones "my first smartphone". In other words, its like the kiddy version of a true smartphone.

Regarding the styling, a diamond shaped camera glass and menu button ? the fact that half the apps for it on Samsung Apps are for calculating when your period is due ? umm, hello !!

Oh and not to mention the way the default font in all menu's and text boxes is a groovy girly type. My girlfriends model also came preloaded with pictures of baby animals and flowers !

Lastly, i dont get any frequent freezes or crashes with my Satio at all. Stable ? totally !
