..and I was expecting this thread to stop at the first page
I have both, will take pics of the same scene/same lighting/same settings starting tomorrow (left my Elm at home today alas). Rainy season is here with a vengeance in Manila, so both phones should be able to show what they're capable of camwise.
(build quality-wise my W995 is superior to the Elm. the plastic & metal body casing are higher quality, no problem with my slide action either, WiFi reception is also stronger though GSM/3G/HSPA signal wise both phones seem to be on par)

Thank you.
Now that would be good to see.

about cam quality...........i just looked at Lefthorse w995 pictures............what can i say...WOW
i think w995 camera is very similar to c905. (same great colour rendition, etc) if i guess, the only difference between c905 and w995 (camera) is the Cybershot branding.
for me this kind of quality is way more appealing then ex, some Nokia oversatured yellowish...over & out.
full size. (very good quality)

The Elm is almost a copy of the W995 but more stable.
Yes and a closer copy would be the Hazel
, both Hazel and w995 have 2.6 inch screen, both have front videocall camera, and both are slider type of phone. It's the closest you can get to a w995 while having the same camera installed on Elm. Again the only drawback would be the bad LED flash of Hazel. Anyway if only between the 2 and the deciding factor would be left to the camera, go for Elm.

@fluke
The C903 is just a C902 in a plastic housing, same camera and mostly the same features
The W995 camera is similar to the C905, they both apply strong noise reduction smearing details.

I don't envy the decision you'v got. The crazy thing is the manufacturers keep cramming more megapixels into these camera phones and on such a small sensor the quality will degrade as digital noise starts to increase. It's just a sales gimmick but it's worked on point and shoot cameras so it'll continue on phones. I'd say 5 megapixels is the sensible limit. The lens will always limit picture quality.
Good luck with what you choose in the end.

Nah
!You're losing the point!
Can't you see the purple where should be black?
Man... C905 is way better than W995,you can't compare just because some pictures from a talented person...
Just in a 1/50 of pictures W995 gets the similar quality of C905.
Wich one do you think people will choose?
Admit,Elm have a better camera in all aspects.
