I know you wrote SE but I figured I could start from where it lead me to SE. Ericsson is the major reason I continued with SE.

So, here it goes:

Ericsson- GH688, R320s and R600

SE- T610i, P910i (still own this in perfect working condition), K700i, F500i and P1i (still using this one today)

From the P1i, ironically that's when they started to fade, I bought the Motorola V8 which I still have and last year I got the Blackberry Bold 9700, again, I still own the Bold.

I am hoping for a rejuvenated SE before I 'come back' even though I technically haven't left since I am still using the P1i.

I began with the SH888 in 1998 not very pretty but excellent to use.

SH888 was one that I very nearly got as I have always been a heavy data user and this was the first, or one of the first, that provided modem capabilities through a mobile phone using the IR port, albeit at slow speeds (9600bps), for use with a laptop or palm pilot etc

Been buying Sony Ericsson and Ericsson since very early days. Despite many complaints these days i always end up back with them and they are still my fave brand. I started from handsets i cannot even remember with them small screens and huge antennas but loved their unigue look. This week i have the w995 coming in the post. But i had Ericsson handsets back when i cannot remember which ones. My faves being the t39 and t68.

My association started with Ericsson in the form of the GH388.
- Upgraded to T10 (which I flashed to T16 software and got voice dailing capabilities!)
- Was then lured by the Nokia 7110i (come on, that navi roller was inspired!)
- Came back to the fold and got a T39m (my first bluetooth and GPRS device)
- Followed by the iconic T610 (GSMA 2004 phone of the year!)
- First touchscreen, P910.
- Tempted by the P990 (horrible mistake IMHO). Low RAM, did not perform as advertised. SE first strike!
- Tried Windows Mobile Xperia X1. Questionable build quality. Firmware not upgraded when it could have to WM 6.5 (Xperia X2 had virtually identifical hardware.) SE Strike 2. Did not wait for SE to strike out, jumped ship onto the Android bandwagon and HTC, never looked back. Being tempted back by the SE Arc S. How about a dual core Arc device?

GF788
I888
T28 World

T68i
T610
W800

And really wanted to move onto a UIQ phone that was specc'd enough (unlike P990) but waited and waited and this turned out to be the P5/Paris debacle during the dark days of Miles Flint and that was it. SE never recovered really and I wandered off (like so many)

UIQ done right on the right hardware and when it should and could have been released is one of the great What If's and lost moments in mobile development.

my 1st was a 2nd hand k750i which the joypad eventually stopped working completly
then i had a w580i where the buttons kept cracking and the earpiece broke
followed by a w760i which suffered every 1 of the problems that it could (random re-setting, charger socket comming loose etc.)
followed by an elm which was a complete disaster because the battery didnt last a full day (even while sitting idle in my pocket with 3g and wifi turned off)
and now i have an xperia x8 which isnt without its problems

the only reason i stick with the phones is because most other phones in my price range are crap

from 1996
GA 628 ---> GF 768 (with shorter antenna I was in love with that little fella ) --> T28s (my little love on diet and new clotes ) --> T65 (well, that was huge display at that time... and I made my first contact pictures with just black and white pixels ) --> T68i (just impresive! There`s no other phone to impress me more then this one! I have color screen, Bluetooth and IR, MMS, removable camera and MP3... damn how envy my friends was )

T610 (amazing) -->k700 (this phone makes almost half of my coleages fans) ---> S700 (drowned beauty) ---> Z600 (just to try something new) ---> k750 (real love - the other half of my coleages were fans already ) ---> k610 --> W900 --> W880 --> P1 --> W760 --> Xperia X1 --> Vivaz --> X10 --> Ray --> ?

PS: I still have T68i at home that`s how attached to it I am.
