There was a similar issue on the Nokia N8. The silver ring around the lens caused sunlight to catch on it & make a halo or smudge of light on the one side. Bloody designers

The new 3D Sweep is pretty funky... I don't have a 3D TV to test it with so I convert to the red-blue 3D... pretty cool already... I'm trying to find a Bravia to test it with...
