Phone Arena didn't favour it much

^Not surprising. You'll know the score is biased and BS when you look at the cons. Average call quality, average camera, bland visuals for 6.5. Just look at the comments and see how disgusted the readers are with Ray.

Phone Arena are idiots anyway and they are also useless at camera testing
and very biased towards Apple too. They did say that Sony have fixed the UI lag issues

Is this confirmed for sale in UK yet? I'd really appreciate the slighlty smaller size and camera button compared to the z.
This is the email I got from Sony. I asked the same question.
'Thank you for contacting the Sony Xperia support centre and for your interest in the Sony Xperia ZR.
Unfortunately we do not have any confirmation that this handset will be released to the UK market and it has been withdrawn from the Sony Mobile UK website.
We would suggest that you frequently visit the Sony Xperia website for further information regarding release dates for this product along with the features & specifications.'

Screen is reviewed to be better too, and besides 720p and 1080p difference is hardly noticeable compared to the original Z. TBH this is what the Z should have been, also with camera button, but still its good to know Sony is now addressing the issues in camera software jpeg processing unlike before, which makes me look forward to what Honami will offer when its released.

I'd say it's the JPEG engine that screwed bigtime on the Z, since ZR shared the same exact hardware with the flagship sans display. and it seems like ZR had used Honami's new processing algorithm like in the case of Z with Honami app installed. judging from the review It may appear noisier than those from S4 but there's plenty of details, I could care less on the luminance noise since they're perfect for BW photography
and you have to do 100% crop pixel peeping on the small lines if you want to see how much details the S4 can resolve over the ZR which is marginal at best IMHO.
