when setting alarms and tasks have the ability to scroll round the numbers i.e if you time said 19.25 you should be able to press up twice when on 9 rather than down 8 times on the joystick

Sorry i thought of another one when sending SMS on the next screen when its asks for the number we should be able to have a couple of numbers saved in that screen so we dont need to go all the way through to are fone book as well as being able to type in the number

Please, add me to the list!
Great quality job here!
I guess T68/T68i has interface and CPU limitations but our wishlist could improve next mobile phones generation!
I would like to Wireless Village compliant IM client as this is for me the true future for SMS regarding one2one chatting...
Wider screen with 4096 colors,
Online browser displaying HTML 3.2/WML/cHTML
and a more ergonomic end-user input (keyboard, joypad, jog-dial,...)

Hi all,
First of all, add me to the list of signatures.
Secondly there are some features which sadly are missing both from the list and my T68.
1. Clear notification that the received call is a forwarded call. (Hint: the ">" which nokias use.) Can't stress enough how BIG my need for this is.
2. Notification if a missed call was a forwarded call. Not as badly needed as #1 but I want my T68 to be the greatest. :=)
3. In the list of missed calls, don't only display the latest call from one number, but list all the occurrences.
4. Some way of assigning ringtones to groups of people.
Some of these features were available in my last Nokias (6110, 8210).
(1) What do I mean by clear notification? On the Nokias I got a ">" in front of the callers number when there was a forwarded call. On the T68 all you get is a sign that says "Forwarded call" and this sign DISAPPEARS when the name or number is presented. Which basically destroys the usefulness completely of the current function, who stares all the time on the display? (OK most of us here at Esato, but not even we can keep our eyes fixed on it all the time. ;=) )
So I hereby demand that SonyEricsson adds either some icon or character (like ">") when the number/name is displayed that give the user a notification if the call is a forwarded call. ;=)
(Seriously though this is the one feature that has me considering going back to Nokia, harsh but true.)
(2) One thing I missed in the Nokias was that you could not see in the list of missed calls if any of them had been a forwarded call. Please SonyEricsson, give my T68 this feature. A simple way of doing this would be to add ">" in front of numbers/names which where missed forwarded calls.
(3) Ie if you have 4 missed calls from Tom during the day, list him four times in the missed calls list with the different timestamps of his calls instead of only the time of the last of the missed calls. Currently this is especially annoying if you have missed calls from different callers who has hidden (?) numbers. If you atleast have the different times available to you, you have a chance of figuring out who called when.
(4) Well, the Nokias have a great feature that gives you the ability to group together different contacts and assigning the different groups different ringtones. On the T68 you have to assign the ringtones to the contacts individually. This is a horrendously clumsy way of doing things, and it feels really stupid that they have left out this feature when we already have a feature for creating groups, although for sending SMS.
Sorry for all the rambling (and spelling mistakes, its late and I should have gone to bed a long time ago), but I feel that the features that I'm missing are some of the most important features for such a high profile mobile phone aimed at professionals.
Thruls
aka mr Forwarded Call ;=)

Great list!
Put my name on it!
There are a few other things too. I'm used to Nokia's T9 and find writing text messages on my T68 damn annoying for several reasons; here are a few that pop to mind:
- When writing things like "i'm" and "i'll" it doesn't guess the punctuation and takes the characters after it to be separate! On my 8210 I could press 4 1 6 and "I'm" would be on the screen (remembering that Nokia uses 1 as it's punctuation key {I think!})
- Also maybe this one is just me but when you need to send a number to someone in a txt there isn't an option to change the input to purely numbers. You can change case by hitting * but not to numbers! Again here i would have to say the Nokia way was better where you would hit * to change case, again to change case and turn off T9, again to change case and again to change case and put T9 back on. Then if you wanted to change to numerical input you'd hold it for a while.
--- Sorry to sound like a Nokia man but i think the texting on the 8210 was almost perfect! ---
Other quarms...
In fact the only thing I damn HATE with a passion about my T68 is the speed of the menu's etc! Most phones I have used don't really suffer from this. When I upgraded from my 8210 to a 6210 the slight reduction in speed annoyed me so much that I swapped back and ended up having my 8210 for almost two years!
Also we need the ability to store more WAP profiles!! 5 is definately not enough! I'm an on Orange and have 3 wap profiles for them alone! (Normal, GRPS and an Orange colour gateway)
Just a note about a few things already on the list (and may I say that there are some really clever ideas on there and some that could never get implemented) most of the improvements requested are to do with the screen but I think that it is an important point to note that the screen when illuminated uses more power than being on a call! Try it for yourselves you'll notice that if you play a game for an hour or so the remaining talktime has depleeted much more than an hour. So although the way the screen likes to power off so soon can be annoying, especially when showing the phone off, I think it's something that is easily bearable in trade off for the battery life of the phone.
**Most of the ideas on that letter are 'do-able' in software updates but the phone and hardware isn't really changable so ideas like change-able faces aren't gonna happen (buy a Torx6 screw driver and change it yourself if you really want!) and although most of those features are simple tweaks in code alot of them would require more memory in the phone which isn't change-able.
sorry to go on! but....
THEY HAVE TO, HAVE TO, HAVE TO PUT TETRIS BACK INTO THE SOFTWARE!!!! I HAVE FIRMWARE R2A AND AM NOT GOING TO UPGRADE BECAUSE THIS IS EASILY THE BEST GAME, EVEN IF IT MEANS MY T68 NEVER GETS TO SEE THE LIKES OF MMS I DON'T CARE!!! TUBE AND BUS JOURNEYS HAS NEVER BEEN SO MUCH FUN!!
But seriously, could you add that to your list please laffen.
Thanks - Ben

Oh yeah and when they do bring tetris back a two player bluetooth / IR / Wap (maybe I'm dreaming here) version would be really cool.
P.s. what games can be played via bluetooth?
