They did not mention basic recording being within Cinema Pro.

Because the xperia cam is gone.

There is only Photo Pro, where you find basic mode.

Zackbuks has a photo of Basic mode on his Instagram, there's a toggle to choose between photo and video there. Also there's an HDR button which means you'll be able to force HDR on auto now, don't know how close it'll be to always-on-HDR of other brands.

The sample looks like it's taken under almost direct sunlight (a fairly easy shot) and the motorcyclist isn't moving.

Hdr button is just for video recording. Basic photo has no hdr button.

Cinema pro is still a stand alone app. Basic mode is only in photo pro.

I hope they brought 4k 120fps for basic video app.

I hope Xperia gives us an option for the HDR-loving crowd. , Not sure if their cameras have it though.

Only 10iii has auto HDR.

For 1 and 5, you can turn on and iso/shutter auto for photo pro.

Xperia 1 III, Youtuber ERP hands on.

- 4k 120 Hz at the same time
- no vibration from the speaker
- display is a little brighter
- front camera is much better then 1 II, Video too
- auto focus is great on all sensor
- Video stabilisation/ steady shot is better, and much more natural, no artifacts
- smooth zoom in video
- real time tracking works on all sensors
- 105 mm give great bokeh
- colors and auto focus much more like real camera
- Google assistant button can be revamped to any app

If the battery is good this phone will be great

Is sony using triple QB sensors to output 3MP?

All sample show 2048 x 1536. Instead of something like 4000x3000.

Some of them are less than 0,8MB while, other are more than 4.

Something is weird here.

3MP from Z series is 2048x1536 as well.

No, Xperia 1 ii had the same resolution and file size for the sample pictures.
They are just downscaled.

Someone on weibo said Xperia 1 iii has 800 nits automic brightness.
