Last year I bought the Japan exclusive 1 VII 16GB/512GB.
I haven´t had any 4G and 5G frequency issues with the phone here in Sweden. It has worked flawlessly without any problems. I have no problem with shutter sound. There is a setting for shutter sound on/off, but I have it always on.
I assume that it is the same with this year's Xperia model.

I just took a look. You were talking about the style cover. I thought there was an actual desk stand you place your phone onto. It is nice of them to include that finger loop though I wish they'd built it into the back of the cover instead of attached to a cord/string.
too bad sony UK doesn't shit internationally. I might have considered the preorder bundle. but since that's not an option, I am still on the hunt for the best and cheapest method to get a 16gb model from japan.
my cracked screen 1ii is really feeling slow these days and most of all, lack of security updates is concerning.

I didn't consider ebay. It would be a last resort option for me because I've had some bad experiences and this is a big money purchase I would rather not have tied up in ebay arbitration.
I have some friends in Japan I may ask to buy and ship to me but seeing what my options are before I ask for a favor. I also want to wait and see for people to receive their units. Last year, there were issues that required warranty returns, which would be impossible or an extremely hassle to deal with. So, I'll wait and see before I take the leap.

Or the review is not that professional and knowledge based.
You can not blame reviewers and specialized phone websites every time you don´t like what you read regarding a phone. Similiar websites will probabbly write the same..

That's the sad truth. The vast majority have little knowledge. It appears that their main goal is to sound authoritative and get likes, and the big ones are obviously getting paid.

I update my installed apps once a week.
The last security update is from June
2022.
