Ozzie,
are you sure about this? I am sure that the website says that outside of "3"s coverage they could use O2 GPRS. The only thing that is not supported is video calls.

Yes thats true, outside the 3network it works on 02network ,as you said you wont be able to make a videocall when you are on the 02 network, but you can use 02gprs and I guess mms.

I believe Ozzie is correct, as the use of other services outside of the 3G coverage area is handset dependent, and I think the nec phones may not be up to it.
The ideal solution would be a nice stylish 3G handset, maybe something from se.... like the Z1010

That is correct. There is nothing wrong with the network (O2), but the NEC handsets won;t handle it.

And click on specification. Only the Motorola handset is up to it.
And yes, wouldn't we all like the z1010 to be a launch product
The other issue is that the smallest of these phones (e606) weighs 150g - we are talking P800 size here !

Ummm .... My T68 weighs about 80g - the P800 weighs over 150g. I certainly don't want ANYTHING weighing 150g in my pocket .... 100g, maybe 110g at the most. Yes - have seen the 3 adverts in the UK, but I won;t go for it until they release some good handsets.
