More innocent lives will be lost by a lack of action. You're right - Bush has his own agenda, as does Blair to a lesser extent - but that's not the point. The point is that they're doing the right thing for the wrong reasons but it's still the right thing. I would much rather the motives were right as well, but you can look to Colin Powell for a more reasoned view, for what it's worth. I know it sounds like I'm a pro-war fanatic but in any different circumstances, I'd feel the same as you. It's just that it angers me that people like Fahed exploit Bush's idiocy and bad PR and turn his motives and Israel
into the crux of the argument when they're not. The real issue is islamic fundamentalist-inspired terrorism, which claimed thousands of innocent lives on 9/11 and will do so again, given half the chance. Bush WILL stop that even if only to settle a personal agenda but isn't that still necessary, whatever his reasons for doing it?

i truelly understand your point but i mean can you tell how the programme started from Bin Laden then when they couldn find him all of a sudden Sadam is the next Public Enemy ,

No-one ever WANTS war!...war comes about due to countries feeling threatened...fear of something they fear, potentially, they cannot control. Such as terrorism, threat of invasion etc. Not always but often. Bush, Blair & co must know more than we give them credit for, they surely have intelligence from various sources. I don't condone war but saddam's record is appalling!...he may not have nukes et al, but surely it cannot be denied he is potentially a threat!...12 years ago was when he should have gone....now a likely 2nd war. One thing that none of us should forget though is our promises to the afghanies to help rebuild their country...this seems forgotten...hope same is not done with Iraq...also worrying is the UN situation...a disunited world can not be good.

I am well aware that, at the heart of Islam, are many of the same PEACEFUL tenets of Judaism. I would love for us all to live side by side in peace. But the Jews in Israel live in the fear that if Arafat gets what he really wants, there will be no Israel at all. The Israelis would actually accept Palestinian demands if they thought that would be it and peace could reign. But after era upon era of persecution and fighting against the odds for the survival of their people, they have deep-seated need to know they are secure.
These are not the actions of a race bent on world-domination. I just can't listen to these twisted portrayals of Israel as the thorn in the side of peace in the Middle East when it is what Israel herself would love more than anything.

Come on, u think that arafat would ever have the power to threaten israel??? they dont even have money to support its own people...
It is the palestinians that are scared to get screwed and loose everything.
