well...to answer some question...mine it's a classic blue t39. and i remember somebody wrote to ask about cell information rite?
well.....this feature is actually network dependant. if your network supports it, it will actually show which area you are in at where u are standing rite now. the name of the place will be shown on your network operator name itstead of the usual name only. u might find that you can't really see the whole name being displayed on the standby screen. no problem...!!! just slide your volume keys at the side and the whole name of the location you are in will be shown on the status!!! cool eh?
as far as i know....singapore doen't support this feature....as for malaysia, only the netwaork CELCOM supports it!!!
So....anyone out there has their network supports it in their respective country?

A word of advice on the cell information though. Before you guys show off this feature to our rival phone brands. This is actually a common feature in most of the phones....yes.....that includes the dreaded NOKIA too.

All Australian SP's support Cell information. Vodafone (my SP) have supported it here for at least 5 years.
It's kinda cool if you're not sure what suburb you're in, or on New Years day 2000, they changed all the Cell locations around Sydney to "Happy 2000" or something like that.
