i want to share an idea i had with you!
i see that you are making a video player! it will be a good idea that the mp3 player that has 32mb space can be used as a "hard" disk that will contain the avi files! i have also a very nice idea for free games ! and not in demo mode! but i will try to make it at summer!
i am sorry for my english but i have to use them a lot of time!

Hi,

Unfortunately, I can't use the memory from the mp3 player.
It would have been nice to able to do that.

All I can do is store the files in phone memory, or stream it from a WAP site for live view.

Feel free to email at : robert@exosyphen.ro and I would like to invite you to sign up with our free newsletter from www.exosyphen.ro

BTW : Anyone would trade me an MP3 player or DCA20 camera?
I have a DRS11 Sony Ericsson datacable which i no longer use and I can trade it to you.

I have received some feedback on the Pong certification :

1. Game not certified. Only commercial software supported at this time. In the near future support will be added for free software (looking forward for this)

2. Synergenix staff is browsing this forum ... they pointed out my "attempt" (?) to hack their DRM system.

3. There goes my attempt of creating free software for SE phones, and money invested to buy a SE T300, datacable, etc etc ... not to mention time.

I hope they will support free software some day ... until then ... thank you all for your great support and I hope that some day I will be able to offer you the free software you need.

Sincerely your,
Muresan Robert

As someone else pointed on the mophun forums. We should've done our research before buying the phone. Owning a T300 isn't necessary for developing for the T300 since you can't download your own apps into your own phone anyway.

Dont stop making software coreinside. Plenty of people pay for good games and more will pay for calender, movie or any sort of good application :-) This message was posted from a T300

Otherwise fair point, but in the case of mophun, it isn't. This fact (that you can't run your work on your own phone) is quite well hidden. My two cents on that everybody discovers this only by trial and error:

there is info only about how to make money with mophun, the certification, etc... the sad fact, that there's no other way, every program has to be certified (unless you're a so called premium developer - something a hobbyist certainly is not) is not advertised at all.

I was dissapointed with Synergenix before, and I totally mad about it now. I just don't have any words to express myself! I will even pay somebody to crack their certification defense. Why did they even made SDK?!!! How long would we wait, a month, half of a year, year? By then I will probably change my phone to another one. The only think that is sad, that it would be T610. But wait, that's even better, it has Java, so no more Synergenix!

Hi all.

I won't stop developing software for the T300.
I will wait until certification will become available, and then I will share it with you.

The videoplayer and calendar are next on my work agenda.

I will email Synergenix again, and ask them if they can go around normal procedure and certify the little Pong game.
I don't think it will harm anyone ... it is just a simple and small game I made with the purpose of learning how to code on the T300.

I just visited our local phonestore and noticed that I can get a T610 which is only arround $100 more expensive then my current T300.
I didn't know the T300 has Java (Thanks for the info Triple_8).
I think I will switch to Java ... because there I can simply make software and release it for T610 users.
I will try and raise $100 and upgrade to a T610 and get started on it.

It is trivial for a developer to own the actuall device the code will run on.
I remember when I did some code for a PocketPC.
It went fine on the emulator, but had some issues on the actual device.

If any SE staff member is reading this thread : Go for Java or better, Symbian ... it's the best option for developers at this time.

My 2 cents about the mophun platform : I can easily say it's the best platform I have used so far. Outstanding tools, ease of use, excellent documentation and code samples, very good development tools ... but all become worthless in the end ... and this is very unfortunate.

Maybe we should all write a petition and email it to Synergenix asking them to support free software.
And please be kind ... rude language won't get us anywhere.

I can only hope now for best to come in the near future.

Sincerely,
Robert

they won't change their mind, they're strongly against freeware, their only promise is maybe to release a single phone license - but the current status of that is "somewhere in the future"

Java: somebody said the hardware of T310 is simply not strong enough for that
on the other hand, I heard somewhere that (apart from the display) it is basically the same as the T610 - which supports Java
I also heard that T610 has a 16MHz 8 bit processor, but don't know if it's true, and still nothing about T310

does anybody know about the exact hw specs?

Hi,

I don't know anything exactly about the T300 hardware.
If i could run any code on the phone, i could write up easily a small benchmark to exactly compute the CPU power it has.

In the meantime, please post a reply to petition I have started here, for Synergenix to support free software.

Thank you,
Robert
