I've heard that you can't flash standard SE firmware to erase the customisations. Don't know how true this is, but i'm getting SIM free, just to be sure (and because can get it earlier than Voda PAYT!)

Hi nambiker,

Can a SW update remove the Vodafone menu and replace it with the SE menu as on website??

Cheers

Oooh look over there .... It's the goodyear blimp!

Erm - well Orange were the only ones who *seemed* to be anywhere close to launching it - guess Voda were just keeping quiet so they could catch us all by surprise!

I've been onto the CPW Headoffice about the Sim Free & O2 version and they are pretty sure that they will have it on the first week of June but cannot commit to an exact date.

The O2 version will also be sim free and unbranded and when CPW get their first shipment, they will be selling them on Contract and Sim Free.

Again, they could not commit to a price for sim free but they are guessing at around the £300 mark.

I spoke to the same bloke that reserved and sent me my P800 and he got all the info spot on last time.

Orange and Voda branded handsets should get to CPW stores mid June.

I'll be harrasing them on a daily basis till I get me T610 and I'll keep you all posted:-)

Hi triforce,

Do you know if CPW sell the sim free and unbranded version with Vodafone?

Cheers

I ordered my t610 from t-mobile, but they reckon you can buy it on pay-as you go, which is just as good as sim-free for about 250.

So give them a call.

OR

Some t-mobile stores should have the phone, I know Oxford street will have it tomorrow/Saturday.
