I've just got a email from Justyak chat mobile instant Messaging:
We are working very hard to support T610. We are hoping to support it within a month.

According to the site t610 is supported, but no client is downloadable. P800 works but hangs when on 100%...

Hey all!
Did anyone check the TEXT LABELS in the service menu?
You will see labels like:
"Add buddy"
"AIM"
"Accepting buddy"
"Screen name"
"Accept IMs"
"Add to buddy list?"
"Alert when buddy is online?"
and so forth...

Interesting huh...

I've seen them. Wouldn't get my hopes up to high though, on T68 they are already on version R8 firmware, and still there are text labeles that are not used.... But then, who knows? Maybe

will implement AIM on the phone one day...

I'm also successful with testing the umsg application on my t610.
I used it for 10min (~5 big messages, ~22Kb data transferred) and never crashed. (1 of my contact got disconnected during the session and the soft didn't crash.)
But I'm still looking for a way to use my low-cost pc internet connection to access the internet with the t610. Anyone successfull with this ? would be great to chat for (almost) free

@wrath000:
Yep, I noticed this while playing around with my T68i. And some interesting labels like "Equalizer" and some Hz settings, which I thought would be related to MP3 player or something but who knows.
We'll see..

On october 15, Microsoft is planning to upgrade its .Net Messenger servers, which will result in all old versions of MSN Messenger, as well as Trillian and other Odigo, to be unusable. I am not 100% sure, but it is likely that similar apps for mobiles will be inoperant as well.
Just to let you guys know....

Any news on possibilities to log on msn/hotmail via your T610? Is there a new version of msn out?
