I've got a T610 (w23 on Orange in the UK), and a HBH-60, and I get BT crackling. Not so bad I can't make out what's being said, but laughably bad copared to a wired headset. Nice one SonyEricsson!

Yep - I have T610 wk23 on Orange also and just got a HBH60. Same problem being a bit crackly - still useable, but not good. Dont know if to send it back to get a refund and a different model or wait until SE release a new one - HBH65 perhaps?

I think that everyone who has this problem should email Sonyericsson, or telephone their Customer Services to complain.

The impression I am getting from them is that they are not going to do anything about it until enough people complain!

So get complaining

I have just spoken to the Sony Ericsson E-shop UK (Ran by Data Select in High Wycombe) where I got my HBH-60 from. Again they say they are not aware of the static problem with a T610, although the guy there did say that there was a recent software release which may sort this. I am sending it back to him and he said he will test it on his software upgraded handset. He did seem quite keen however for me to swop it for a HBH30 or HBH35.

I will let you know what happens.

I've just called Sony Customer Care Belgium and they are aware of the problem. He said the problem will be solved with the new firmware. He said that firmware should came out 2 weeks ago but they had to change that firmware to solve the problem with the headsets. He thinks the firmware will be availlable within 2 weeks.

03w22 is the hardware, I'm talking of the software. You can change it by an upgrade in a sonyericcson store.

Magnum,
You mentioned that the SE Cust Care Ctr in Belgium has been developing a new version of software to solve the T610/HBH-60 Crackle Problem. But did they give you a fix date on when will that new version of software be available?......or they'd promised to call you up once the new software is available?
