I have the PS2 and now picked up the xbox a few weeks ago......... have to say the xbox kicks ass, the graphics blow away both PS2 and Game cube..... PS2 has so many good games but I have trouble going back to it after playing the xbox. I have Halo, will set it up to play on the internet tonight......... cool multiplayer option.

My feeling

Xbox: expensive, most powerful machine, limited games in Europe..... the list is very long of games in the states so they wil come.

Game Cube: inexpesive, good graphics.... games seem limited again at the start. No DvD as far as I know.......the disc are smaller than the others

PS 2: lowest on the scale for power and graphics but has so many games and it is at a good price now

so it depends what you want......

Have you seen Resident Evil on the Game Cube? It goes beyond anything PS2 and the Fat Box has done.

There is a version of the Game Vube that can run DVDs its called the "Q".

Nintendo will cut the price of the Game Cube if Sony cuts the price of the PS2. No word from Microsoft.

The Game Cube is looking better and better.

I see that there are ALOT of Nintendo fans in here. I myself have PS2, Xbox and got the Gamecube from US.

PS2 is a great console, got alot of games that are really, really good. Thats what makes this a console that still sell today. Sony have really done well with the games. And it looks good too, and the bonus that it can play DVDs makes it a worthwhile deal. The controller is a bit small for my hands, but the rumbling is the best of all the 3 console controllers.

Xbox. Power is nr1 word combined with this console, BUT it has some extreme games like HALO too, that does make this a very good contender, and from the games i've seen coming, wow the gfx are good and wow what a list of games. Take a look at www.teamxbox.com to see some games and the pictures of them. And the controller isn't that bad as many say, i have big hands, maybe that why i like it that much, PS2 is to small for me there. Downside is that it is big and not that good looking, but hey, we are gonna play games, not watch the console are we?

Gamecube, as I see it is the loser, sorry to say it, but its got almost NO good games out yet, and its been out for a long while. We didn't get our good old mario, insted we got his BROTHER, man i was disapointed. It has better gfx then PS2, but still pretty far behind XBOX, and you notice that when you have them all. Controller is sweet and good, and the prize is very sweet indeed. But if it doesn't get any good games out soon, it won't sell well. From what i've heard, its almost not selling in its home land Japan, its WAY behind in sales numbers, and i think its because of the games. What has happened to nintendo on this thing that they were the master of beats me, I do see that they have games underway, but they all seem so far away it just makes me cry. For you nintendo lovers, lets hope we get some GOOD games for its launch in Europe, unlike what the rest of the world got. They did well on the look on the outside tho, not that i notice that much when i play, but its easy to take over to friends if needed.

The winner, well it depends on money. Low money, go for PS2 as i see it now, more money, defenetly try the XBOX out, it WILL suprise many of you MS critics, it did that to all my friends at least, i just got them to sit and watch me play, didn't take long before they begged to try it out too.

Thats my words, hope they make some sence.

PS!!! No i don't hate nintendo, i have had every console they have made, just it really disapointed me with this one, what they once were so good at, they are now failing badly on, a shame imo.

Old topic.

Now the Xbox is almost as cheap as GC! (In Europe at least)

So why buy yesterdays hardware?

if the xbox had implemented dvd-playback, you would have to pay for the dvd-license too, that would make it more expensive. if you buy a mod-chip you can also play divx and vcd movies on it and install linux on the harddrive. the xodus modchip doesn´t need soldering so almost anyone can install it. could it be better?
