I just got my T68 upgraded to the T68i SW. Now I'm trying to get my contacts back in. I backed it up using an old version of the Ericsson SW and then unistalled it. Now the my phones upgraded I downloaded the R4A SW Pkg.1. For some reason it can't find my phone

Is R4A the right software to use for an upgraded T68 phone?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Roy Harding

1.This XTNDConnect is really starting to bug me!
I have somehow managed to get the program to sync Outlook everytime I connect my t68 with a cable. But after that it seems to lose connection, as it says that it cannot find a phone. Also with the Phone & SMS manager, the sync fails with phone book information. Contacts on SIM download fine. Also Sendfile program cannot connect...
I have WIN XP Home, Outlook 2002 and t68(m->i).
Any solution except dumping this piece of crap?
2.How to sync Outlook on Ipaq 3870 and t68 using bluetooth?
Thanks all!

I got that problem at one time.
The program would for some reason choose to do a "Slow Sync" of the phonebook.
The Sync would fail (Sync complete. Phone book: Fail. SIM: OK).
Then it would say Phone Disconnected.
It seemed it was caused by corrupted data in the phone.
I solved it by erasing all data in the phone (after using Christersson's backup program), uninstalling all Ericsson software, manually deleting the C:\Program Files\Ericsson\ directory, and reinstalling the software (R4A package 2, as I don't use Outlook).
I also deleted some Ericcson items in the registry using Regedit.exe, but I don't know if this was needed.
Funny thing is, it was NOT enough to just erase the phone memory.
It was also not enough to just reinstall the software.
But it worked after I erased the phone mem AND reinstalled the programs/deleted the directory.
Whew, but I knew that it could work, just a question of how pristine a system I needed. The answer was: Very Pristine
I think the problem might have been data left in the directory. Dunno if deleting the registry keys was necessary.
The problem did NOT reappear after restoring the phone memory
But by reading the backup file with notepad, I could se a broken entry (it is in some XML format).
One of my contacts was corrupted.
And then it seems that the "Phone Book & Text Message Manager" got corrupted data in turn...
It seems the phone simply rejected it when I restored the memory

, I've had no problems since (well I did get my voice entried deleted at some point. Maybe Christerssons program doesn't save those).
