i think megapixels for a picture fone cam was a little too hopeful.
the pictures circulating show it to be alot thinner than the 800, more than just 2mm
the idea off having a stylus which lives inside the fone (like on the Ipaqs) is promising and the pictures again sugest this. The number of times i've nearly lost one because it fell off in my pocket is more than just double figures.
there are rumours of themes being brought in for the 800 which should be comparitively easy to do.
i was dubious when i first heard the rumours but it seems i have been convinced from the numerous indipendant reports that all seem to back eachother up.

If you look at the positioning of the Nokia 7650 and 2650, you will notice that the 3650 came out first. The 3650 came out later and was more advanced with removable memory, more memory,etc. However, the 3650 was positioned as a cheaper phone when compared to the 7650.
Since there is not much of an improvement between the P800 and P900, it is possible that SE might position the P900 as a cheaper alternative to the P800 like what Nokia did(especially since SE seems to be copying a lot of Nokia feautures into its phone, it might take a page from Nokia marketing too).

I wouldn't bet on the P900 being much cheaper than the P800. (altho the thought is VERY appealing

)

The P900 is not a huge improvement over the P800. It would not be in the best interests to get out a phone that is not a big improvement over the previous product to replace it. Especially, since the P800 is a pretty expensive phone and had just come out in Dec - Feb in most countries. This phone has already disappointed many P800 owners.
The best option is to position it as a phone for teenagers linke the Nokia 3650 at a cheaper cost than the P800, just like the 3650 is cheaper than the 7650.

I would like that... but as I said I am far from sure about it.

Anyone with the slightest business logic will realise that the P900 won't be cheaper than the P800. My guess is that the price of the P800 will drop €100 or so making the P900 the new top model, maybe a little cheaper than the P800 when it was first released.

that's what I am thinking too. It would be far to costly to release this phone at a much lower price than the P800.....

She will only get it IF i do well in my exams. Even then, i wanna contribute as much as i can to get that phone. I will feel guilty if i just let her stomach the cost. Anyway, i think the p900 WILL be CHEAPER than the p800's initial launch price by a bit and the existing P800 will have a big price drop. I've learnt the hard way with a t300 ... :-(
