If he is 14 years old you could get him T610 or NGAGE.If you don't want to give much money, you could wait for Z200.But no and Alcatal.

are the best.I like NGAGE for him ,because it's youthful.

i also think it's a shame that kids grow up on mobile phones. I had my first phone when I was 20, it was an ericsson g628. old brick!
I know this is probably quite old fashioned, but i was never allowed to even use the house phone when I was growing up. My mum and dad were like "why don't you walk over to friend's house, and if they're not in, at least you'll have had a good (3 mile) walk!
I suppose it's good from the whole safety perspective though. Although I think that the concept of kids having "schedules", is a bit alien to me. Mine was go to school, do a bit of homework, kick about with my mates a bit, go home, by the time my parents had set, (or face the wrath of an angry mum).
The only thing I have against mobiles really is the amount of money kids must spend on them, and also the bloody "text" language which a lot of people are using to write with outside of text messages, in letters and even in school work, (I have seen this with my own eyes) - yuck!
Back to the subject in hand - I would get your brother the cheapest mobile that isn't going to give him radiation poisoning. You can't give kids everything they want.

Well I got my first cell phone when I was 20 and now I am 26. Don't forget that cell phone usage becomes cheaper and cheaper and they are more affortable these days.
Personally I am open minded. The new generation is different and they have the techonology right from the first years. Same thing with us and our parents. My parents didn't have a TV or a radio when they grew up. This didn't mean that I shouldn't grow up with a TV simply because they didn't have one. Also with the computers is the same thing. Internet didn't exist when I was young, but now it does.
Life moves on. And the more advanced the society becomes, the nowadays kids have more and more to learn in order to become more competitive to the society. So they need to grow up with all these stuff in order to reach a further level than the previous generation.

Fone for a younger kid bro ??? Don't give him one, at his age, he'll surely will lose it ! If really very persistent, then buy him a Panasonic, the smallest one to date, I just forgot the model, but it comes in colors red and silver.
