You could of course rename the thread 'FREE STUFF for [phone model]' so there would be no confusion.

again the focus on 'newbies'. What is it that makes you think that ppl who joined recently or have few posts are the ones creating most unpleasantness around here?

I think as Esato are becoming larger, we need more moderators like tranquil. I'm not saying that other mods are not doing their job, but tranquil is the most visible mod here. But don't take me wrong. I only say we need more mods as there is a lot of to do these last days. Thats the price of being popular. This message was posted from a T300

The problem as I see it, is the many new threads are popping up a lot this days with titles like... "Wow... look at this new SE killer phone" or "What would SE do now", "How does T610 compare to this xxxx phone".

When I look in the forums I feel that these kind of threads are taking over from the more helpful and informative threads. I think that these threads should be removed from the SE General forum and placed in General discussions or somewhere else.

I also think that a few people today just use sentences like.. "you suck", "if you think that you are stupid" in a lot of discussions. Stuff like that degrades the conversations.

Just my opinions though

And I also believe that a few people just posts their threads in the SE general forum no matter if it belongs there or not. I think a bit stricter policy regarding the topics in specific forums (with the exeption av General discussions, Garbbage etc.) would be good.

and it is this type of reaction, that will in fact encourage them to do so.

Anybody who wants a friendly, informative and polite forum, really should start with themselves.

This forum wouldn't be here if 'newbies' (you make it sound like a gang) wouldn't be around, for we all came in as newbies one time.

'newbies' are the blood (so to speak) that makes this forum grow. So we need them.

Scaring them away and/or attacking them over posting an already answered question, will show them a behaviour they may very well adopt.
