@Talon: every singel t610 that is bought in a mobile store have those "more sound menus." Even
the prewiev phone site on

official site have them.
Try it out.

Ludwig: The reception is bad for real. Both in my and in my GFs apartments I always get cutoffs at certain spots. Also GPRS can be very tricky to connect in some places.

Anyone patient enough to answer this question of mine: So lets say I buy a T610 (GSM 1900/1800/900) here in the Philippines and bring it to New York and buy or use my gf's simcard, which was purchased there, will my phone work? or do I need a T616(GSM 1900/1800/850) instead?
Thanks so much!

The thing which annoys me most about the T610 is that it is popular because all the threads I have read about the T610, (Yes I agree that there are some issues with the screen and the signal strength) but apart from that people are picking little faults out and making it out to be the most crappy fone ever.

Yeah, I'm very happy with mine too.
Especially happy today when I remote controlled the server at work on the subway through Terminal Services on my Palm hooked up via GPRS on my T610. Ahh, all my little gadgets working in unison.
Geek, me?

New York has a full and complete 1900 mhz network in place, so yuo can use either phone. The big difference between the T610 and T616 is the 900 mhz band vs 850 mhz.
850 mhz is currently growing in North America, which means with T616 you can use both bands available on the continent, whereas with the t610 you can only use 1900 mhz, which is widely available but not always in rural areas. In big metropolitan areas however, you should not experience any problems.
Personally, I have never lost signal on 1900 mhz anywhere at all and I've been in the middle of nowhere at times.
Hope this clarifies it a bit.
