@skullmonkey,
i guess this upgrading the firmware of t610 needs a terminator dongle (which i dunno whats it) along with the
USB cable and the usename/password to use the sony ericsson total server and have to follow the strict rules
.
I really think, only a service personnel with all the setup ready can be able to upgrade T610 firmware.

it looks like that to me.

You need a Terminator Dongle which can be purchased from eBay, then need DIV 8.4 cracked version from cellular-support.com
All you need after that is the files

Before I start, i apologize for bitching so much...
I live in the U.S. and i just called SE upon reading this thread. WEll, they told me they only have R1L available and i told them that R3 and has been out for months and r6 just came out and the stupid bitch kept insisting that they dont know what i'm talking about...I guess SE doesn't even tell their employees what version of the fw has come out.
Plus, they told me to go ask t-mobile. So i go to the regional hq/store thing and ask about the fw. Turns out the guy in the store doesn't even know what the hell firmware is. So he kindly suggests that i call SE.
IM SO PISSED!!!!!!!

Wrong you can do it yourself if you have the right things. Search eBay for Terminator Dongle and that's what you need. That, the software (DIV 8.4), and the files. Of course doing it yourself voids the warranty. But hey everything does - even changing the housing!
