you use this service on k700i: does it send messages instantly to your phone? or you have to send yourself an IM to receive the others, or just wait 12-13 minutes?

@arez thx for your help, but i tested it now and takes very much kbs to use it. Almost 30000 kb just to log in. Works great, nice features, but i have only 50 mb in a month and just for im messages it takes too much from my gprs account. Wish i would have more mb, then it would be ok. Thx again for your kindly help and support. This message was posted from a T630

I am curious if for you k700i users of this service (yamigo) the polling time is the same: 13 minutes approximatively. If so, does anyone know how to change this to a more "instant" value?

Thanks.

I can confirm that most of the SonyEricsson's phones are polling every 12 minutes or so. (Unfortunatelly for most of the users this is a loong time). Nokia is polling every 3-4 minutes, Motorola every 30 secs. Also please notices that there is a trade off that one has to make when deciding to pay more for higher poll rate or less for lower poll rate, this in the end affecting the "REAL IM" perception of the service.
We cannot cope with this at server end unfortunatelly.

Cheers,

Arez, your statement contradicts what Bogdano is saying. How can you explain this? Can you please make a test? Login into yahoo messenger with another username / pass which you had already made a contact for your usual yahoo adress, and try giving your mobile account a message from the computer. I am showing an exactly 12 minutes delay. It may be less only if the message happens to be posted exactly before the polling takes place. This message was posted from a WAP device
