With this trick does it make the pictures into like a slideshow because i took a picture on my T610 at school and sent it to my mates Nokia 6600 and it was like a reeeaally slow movie clip...maybe this is what it means on p53 of the manual where it talks about the T610 being able to take a rapid succesion of pictures????

I have a t616 w/R1B firmware and the trick works. Though it looks better in the phone when tricked loaded to the comp the colors are not true. In the phone the pics are 34k and 62k(tricked). In the comp though they are 25.5k and 23.6k(tricked) the tricked file being smaller...hmmm go figure.
I do get the hour glass for some time after going to my pictures to view picture then it shows up just like magic.
BTW is there higher firmware for the t616 than R1B?

don't forget that the filesize is also depending
on the amount of colors/light in your photo....

I agree with the guy who said that the filesize is not accurate. The phone supports jpeg pictures form the pc, but in order to display them, it has to decode them into something similar to bmp (on pc). That's why a 4-10KB size picture from pc is presented as 45-60KB on the phone. And try any of the screensavers! They're gif's, but it actually contains several pictures in a slideshow. Now, that's okay, but in order to use it on the phone, the phone has do decode them in that many pictures that slideshow contains. So, the 50-60KB screensaver is actually much larger when send to phone. And the hourglass appears, durig the time the phone decodes the gif, like when taking the pictures with the cheat. So evetually, you get something like 300-400KB heavy screensaver! Waste of space. That's due to view the pictures without using the processor time (for decoding jpeg).

Excellent

Finally got it to work after reading that you should keep pressing the button instead of just keep holding it like I did hehe

I tried doing the trick and it works fine on your first attempt. Shot a pic and i got a pic of 14kb size, really small...cool but when i tried to do the next one, the first one i did bloated to a 50Kb file. Though the next pic i tried to save got a smaller filesize.
hmmmm....
