I went to Cebit today and obviously went to the Motorola booth and I was highly disapointed with the fact that the people working there didnīt have permission to turn on the phones till Wednesday when Motorola and Microsoft have agreed on to announce about the OS running on the phone and showcase it. Really pissed me off as this is one of the phones that made me want to go to Cebit but i had no idea about the compromise they had reached untill i was told about it.
On another note I did have a look at the Mpx100, A1000, E680, V400P and A687. All very good phones, especially the E680. I didnīt see the newly announced A840...now I can say that motorola will hit it big with that phone and put that qualcomm (???)GSM/CDMA phone that lacks in features on the GSM side.

Exclusive Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Screenshots:
Microsoft provided a preview to the latest Windows Mobile version, now called Windows Mobile Second Edition and Arne Hess over at PPCW.net got actual screenshots!? The major enhancement for the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition which is based on Windows CE.Net 4.x is the improvements on the display.
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC supports portrait, landscape and square modes. The user can switch between portrait and landscape on the fly. Not all devices will support switching between modes, i.e. landscape-only, portrait-only or square-only devices are possible.
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition supports the following modes, resolutions and dpi implementations:
Pocket PC:
Portrait / Landscape QVGA (240x320, 96 dpi)
Portrait / Landscape VGA (480x640, 192 dpi)
Square screen (240x240, 96 dpi)
Square screen VGA (480x480, 192 dpi)
Smartphone:
Portrait (176x220, 96 dpi)
Portrait QVGA (240x320, 192 dpi)

Can anyone tell me when this beauty (MPx 300) is gonna be available publically.
I managed to find that a beta version of this smartphone is available in Abu Dubai for US$ 1200.
I called Motorola US, customer service; the lady said... it will be avaible soon but we dont know when and the price will be more than US$ 500 .. I kinda laughed at her response... coz I was about to say DUH!!

Some slightly disappointing news about the Motorola MPx, the upcoming super-phone with the nifty two-way flip. We already had heard the MPx will be using the Texas Instruments OMAP CPU (200 MHz), but will have a relatively scant 32MB of RAM, along with 64MB of flash ROM. But as was pointed out by PocketPCThoughts forum poster JonnoB, "It is important to note that the memory configuration is unlike any other PPC to-date. The 32MB RAM and 64MB of storage area is fixed and does not use a sliding scale of RAM for storage/program memory. This is in effect, like a device with 96MB of shared program/storage memory."
