I think the design of the S700 is very similar to the Motorola - very ugly when it's open but nice tucked in.
I would go for the K700 but would love to try the other ones just for fun.

I think the z500 looks like the best in that package, but lets face it. All those models are dated. 32 MB will never be enough for K700. Don't compare it to T610 because the T610 didn't need big files. But now you got MP3s and 3D java. Filesize will increase. The S700 is already way behind. GX30 is available today with the same features as the S700. Surely SE don't intend to wait till chirstmas to sell a phone that should be out by Q2.

I'm quite amazed going through the responses in this discussion. I predicted the S700 to be most popular with the public but in fact, you get a mix between K700 and S700, followed by Z500. I can understand the mix though, S700 is the revolutionary dual-front phone and the K700 being the slim multi-functional dream phone.
Actually, I wouldn't mind gettin all three, but in my opinion, I'd get the S700 if I 'had' to pick one.

It's an ideal example of gadget convergence between the huge bulk of a XDA, the low-res camera of a P900, the hideous design of a Treo 600. The only real competitor to S700 is probably the Sharp GX-30. Nokia phones, at 128x128, never make the cut anymore. Besides, I think people who choose Nokia over SE just for EDGE support are probably not the target market of this phone anyway.
The Z500 is a huge improvement over the Z600, which is a huge dismal flop that is sandwiched between T610, T630, and Z200. But yeah, Sony Ericsson has yet to learn how to put larger screens on these large flip phones.

announced new phones. I really hope they announce something like K700 with better features (really hope for EDGE 'cause I heard rumours, that Orange SK will launch it in second half of '04 and MemoryStick Duo) in clamshell design between Z600 and Z1010. That would be a perfect phone for me. I don't really care for mp3's in mobiles, 'cause it's battery killer I think, but for ringtones it's quite impressive.
