I blame the masses for designs that seem similar.
people only trust what they have seen and know and gotten familiar to. People hardly want to try new things. Its in the human nature.
The masses want a T610 sucessor? What sucessor of any phone model looks completely different? if you ask me look at noka series. 6210, 6310, 3210, 3310, 3330, etc...
Not to bash nokia as they are quite respectable in certain areas although i despise them, but they served my example well.
Dont blame SE, blame yourself. SE only provides what the masses want.

Talking about the SE magic, does anyone know if SE is presenting some secret devices in CEBIT this year? Ok I know that if it's secret we cannot know, but rumours...

Some people want a nice looking mobile and some a high-tech mobile with the latest features in it. Some like it small, some like it big so they won't loose it

P .
I believe there must be a balance af the above mentioned. All mobile manufacturers should have a variety of products but dont forget that there is always a budget and targets from their side and is always risky to produce an extreme design mobile that few will like eg (Nokia's square mobile

). Imagine a production line that will fail due to low sales.
