Sorry, I'm trying to glean from this thread whether the actual PHONE function in better. I have a P800 which I think is great, I don't see enough in the P9 to upgrade... but I have had a lot of complaints from people at the other end of the line about sound quality from my P8. I live in a big city with good coverage. It's the phone. So, P900 owners, is the telephone better on the P900 because that might change my mind.
PS Bengal Girl - I like your tag line...... where is your boyfriend ? He was always good for a larf....

Oh boy, I never thought the problem is so complex... Thanx for what you've said. But I haven't decided yet. I really wanna watch some vids - maybe clips or toons =) on it, and I do want to have nice - not midi - ringtones. SE knew what it was doing when making p9. =)

Dunno about the telephone function being any better. I'd say no noticeable difference, but it depends exactly what u mean. For me both were and remain perfectly adequate....I'm never swayed one way or the other; not superb but not abysmal.
@Payalnik
The "complexity" of the problem (or rather the debate it generates)amazes me too! I've had a P8, and I now have a P9. I prefer the P9, but WAS perfectly happy with the P8! For me there's not a number of tangible reasons for this other than what has already been stated time and time again about the screen and asethetics, etc. If it's gonna cost u a siginficant extra amount (say nearly twice, something like that) to buy a P9 then, having owned both, I'd go for the P8 in a heartbeat. That said someone would have to pay me a considerable amount to go back.....ARGH difficult decision mate. Go demo both and see which one u warm to!

IMO, P9 is a great phone, with noticeble differences from the P8. So go for it if you can afford it. But if there's budget constraint, or if you're waiting for the P9 successor, but can't do without a P series, then get the P8, its really quite a great phone.
