I think my next phone will be the MPX300 unless theres a P1000 as rumoured!

Again rumours are that the P1000 will be released sometime at the end of Q4.

batesie, no photos yet, only rumors... and I went back to MDs... no need for hMDs actually... I mean, it's nice to have them all on one disc, but it's kinda nice having a lot of mini-discs... they look pretty cool. And current gen MDs are already better than CD quality. With the portable recorder versions being CD quality.
Most people choose i-Pods or other mp3 variants for convenience... they're much easier to add songs to. Even with Sony's NetMD... it's kinda slow and cumbersome. And as poor as MP3 are, I can stand 192kbps or higher encoded songs. They are pretty decent. Although ATRAC, and even AAC is better. But Mp3s are easier to share!
gforce, if the next gen P-series will be based on UIQ3... considering that the current P900 can be updated by the end user, it would be wiser of SE to release the hardware with the current UIQ, and offer internet upgrades. It would be foolish for them to wait for another company to move it's @$$ and possibly cause delays. In this world of "3 months and you're obsolete", you can't afford those kinds of delays. I just hope SE is smart enough to do that.

i will have a look at it and c 4 my self
regarding the p1000, i hope it will cum out in january, cos my contract is due 4 a upgrade in june 05 so by then the price of the p1000 SHOULD hav gone a bit

Nokia's product line is currently very low- and mid-end centric, but nonetheless the company managed to maintain its #1 position in the EMEA market. Siemens, finally starting to hit volumes with its SX1 smartphone appeared in third place for the first time, overtaking Motorola and Orange. Despite the top three positions being filled by vendors shipping Symbian OS-based devices Microsoft enjoyed its highest ever share (7.8%) of the voice-centric device segment. "Having Motorola on board is a big help for Microsoft," said analyst Rachel Lashford, "Most of Microsoft's smartphone shipments so far have been tied to the Orange network, but with the MPx200 becoming available on other operators' networks and with more models appearing over the coming months, we would expect shipments to increase substantially. palmOne's Treo 600 hasn't done as well in EMEA as elsewhere; it needs more models and broader operator coverage to become a contender in the smart phone space. The momentum in this segment, however, remains with the Symbian OS-based vendors."
