Quote: Memory limitation is the killer for p900, both running RAM and storage space. Im sick of programs closing all the time due to lack of available ram its very very nippy. You dont even get notification or prompt to let you know whats happening...

Exactly! Memory AND task management is quite dumb for such a smart phone. Even with 3rd party task mangers, switching between apps is frustrating when they don't take you were you were and tend to default to their startup status.
Also as Nils7 mentioned earlier, doing more in flip-closed mode would be welcome. Why can't we do some simple things without having to take out the stylus? It's possible to create and send emails and MMS's without having to open the flip, but not add a contact or view pictures?
The P900 is still, at least in my opinion, the best thing out there for my needs, but SE needs to address these little annoyances.
And I do think the Memory stick is a bad choice because of its inherent limitation, but it's really not as big as the aforementioned ones.

ok have only had the P800 for 2 days and sent it off to get firmware upgraded so will have to wait a few more days... but..
all you guys complaining about battery life, why don't you:
-charge it like all the time, whenever its not being used, i plan to leave the mains plugged in and when not used sit it in the cradle so its always being charged, is that a bad thing ?
- get another battery, have looked at ebay and they cost like £5 and it seems official ???
or am i missing the point, obvously have had little experience with the phone...

Nope you're right on the money there m8, I keep mine charging in the cradle almost every night (since the battery doesn't suffer from 'memory effect') and i carry a spare battery (£5 off ebay as u said) "just in case" but so far i haven't needed it!!

right, my 2pence worth....
1) battery
2) the amount of dust the camera cover collects & how difficult it is to clean compared to the t610
3) the alarm wont sound if the phone is on silent. i work night shifts & this is my biggest bug cos i set my alarm and my mates ring me at 11am & wake me up! im forever changing the ringtone so i dont get woken up so i guess i really miss auto switching profiles
but on the whole its a great phone & im really happy with it, just see what SE pull out of the hat to beat it, im sure we will all be impresed and a few months down the road be finding niggley things that are wrong with it just like this thread here!

on P800:
jotting fast enough, you've written a long message already, your phone panics, and then reboots itself. your message *poof* nowhere to be found, not even in the draft.

Battery problems - Its just how you used the phone. If you are a heavy user like me...watching movies, mp3, emulator games etc. mine last for a day...which is ok since I charge it at night but I also have spare battery for a weekend night out.. It's a powerful phone with many features the battery drain is just right.
memory stick - why not buy more 128mb memry stck. I have 10 of them. i think it much organize cause everytime I want to wacth movies just replace the memry stck (without turning off the phone) (one memry stck one movie) and off you go.
Ram limitations - installed sman, x application or handy day to close the program after using it. This problem I don't really encounter.
adding contact on flip close - use jog dial and go to applications, then click jotter. in the jotter click menu and press 1. click asterisk 3 times to choose numbers, input the phone numbers, click ok and click 4 to add to contacts and write name etc.. that's it.
alarm won't sound when the phone is on silent - this one I didn't understand. Tried the shortcut of holding the c button to turn off and on the silent.
flip close games - try picodrive emulator for megadrive games.
size - as you can see for the P900 the area is about 86% of the whole area covered is the wonderful screen. Compare the ratio of the screen to the area of the whole phone with nokia phones (6600, 6320, etc) and you'll se how magnificent it is.
pc synchronization - I think some are not that lucky. But for me I didn't have problem with this.
This is just some solutions to the problems. It's better to try playing around with your phone to solve problems and share it here.

They're outrageously expensive!
Plus i'm not gonna get 10 MS Duos and think about what i'm gonna do with them when I replace my P900 with an XDA3.
