Have you noticed this thing about nokias? When you enter a WAP address and while its being downloaded you cant click on any link in the partially opened wap page. Whereas on my T230 i can click on any link regardless of the fact that the wap page has opened completely or not. I have seen this personally happen on the 3650 and the 6610. Are all nokias like this? This message was posted from a WAP device

Also while some stuff is being downloaded the user doesnt know the status of the downloading. The' G' symbol of GPRS just rotates and we have no clue how much stuff has been downloaded and how much remains to be downloaded. Truly crap! This message was posted from a WAP device

I agree, they've been crap since forever. Nokia just doesn't have what it takes to make it in this world anymore.

whenever i look to buy a phone, I would always look at battery power as well as phone functions.

This is where SE comes in.

The longer the battery lasts, the better which also means you wouldnt need to buy your battery that often.

I chose because of the overall impression and the fact that the brand has an aura of quality surrounding it. The fact that T610 has sold large quantitys (large user base => good support) also helped. And of course, the fact that I'm Swedish and my gf owns some Ericsson stocks also helped in the descision..

I somewhat regret i though, because of the lousy Java support (no telnet/SSH).

My previous phones were all by siemens, but when it was time for contract renewal last year siemens didn't have any decent colour screen phones out yet. The old S55 was a fun phone, but 256 colours was hardly state of the art, the SL55 was just too bloody expensive and their only cam-phone at the time, the ST55, wasn't even made by siemens and lacked java.

Nokia design didn't really appeal to me, and all of my nokia-owning friends had some technical trouble with their phones in the past.

Apart from the fact that there was no real competition at the time, the t610 was of course a bloody impressive phone.

Well, when I first started using cell phones, I used what almost any other new cell phone user had. Nokia. My last Nokia was the 8890. Though it was a great and elegant phone, it was getting dated. Color screened phones were all the rage and I didn't want to be left behind. My next phone was the Ericsson T68. I instantly fell in love with it. With multiple numbers per contact and my first introduction to bluetooth, it was just phenomenal for me. Ever since, then, I was just impressed by what [Sony] Ericsson has brought out and I've stayed with them ever since. I don't think that I'll ever go to another phone manufacturer again...

Usability and ease of use is the main reason for me to go with SE. Other than that i like the very good buit quality of thier phones.

Quickshare is another, se makes is dead easy to send/receive tones/pics/videos/vcards and anything to or from you phone. nokia ia crap at this since you need cable special programs and all that stuff.

I have tried the 7610 today, very nice looking phone, but when you turn it on and try to use it you realize the mess and the diference se has from nokia. With the se i can navigate with ease and find anyhting and it is smart enought to have all the options/items and stuff grouped together in a logical manner so you can use them. I could say that nokia are thinking feature oriented while se think task oriented. That is why se have more organized and easy to use phones.
