Well my battery last 1 day with transfering files / mp3 / gaming and so on. I think it's terrible. Maybe it has to do with that animated wallpaper...

I have to agree with CyberVisitor as the battery is a joke but it must be a bug coz if you donīt charge it when itīs empty it holds a lot longer. The batteryindikator is the joke NOT the battery! Probably fixed with a later firmwire!

My phone doesn't seem to have a bug with the battery indicator. The phone turns it self off shortly after the indicator reaches empty.

It's important to know that if I don't play around with IR and/or Bluetooth and don't wap, then the phone seems similar to the battery capacity of the T610/Z600. It's the "playing around" that drains the battery!

Turning off the clock and choosing a theme that's has no animated wallpaper also makes the battery last longer.

Yesterday, for an example I had charged my battery overnight. I transfered 4 mp3 and about 6 games. Listened to mp3 for... well let's say 20-25 min. No calls made yesterday - 20 min gaming - animated wallpaper were on - used wap to download three themes. And my battery didn't last long. Approx 12h. ― day!!!

Yeah, I can agree that "playing with the phone" seems to be draining the battery.

But I think it's really idiotic to develop a phone that has it's centre in media (ringing, listening to mp3, recordning videos) and found yourself with a phone that won't hold longer than a day due to battery issues.

Well.... consider the things above - I LOVE my K700 It's a damn good phone. I'll just have to live with charging my battery every day. It doesn't take so long either.

Anther problem with my K700 is that when I use Bluetooth to create an Internet connection from either my laptop or my IPAQ (whilst it works perfectly) when I drop the connection the K700 restarts itself and comes back on with Bluetooth turned off. Has anyone else found this or is it a unique fault on my phone?

When I try to pair my laptop with my K700, the phone freezes. I have to take out the battery to make the phone restart. It happens all the time. Solution is to make the pairing from the phone, not the computer. It must be a bug.

Also, randomly while the phone is connected to my laptop using bluetooth the phone restarts with bluetooth turned off. It doesn't happen often, but it happens, and it's annoying! This also has to be a bug.

The people at Sony Ericsson also failed a lot with their spelling on dialogs that appear on the phone. At least for the Swedish language. Try deleting a ringtone that's assigned to a contact and you'll see. It looks silly.

These are the problems I have had with the K700 so far:
1) The phone freezes, have to remove the battery. Happened three times since in five days. It might be because of BT problems, as it happened when it was communicating with my laptop.
2) The phone restarts after (what I remember) taking a picture (right after pressing the camera button to take the picture). Happened twice twice in five days.
3) Random lag in the meny on occation. Nothing happens for a while, then all the key-commands from the last few seconds are executed at once.
4) Battery lasts for about two days with "medium playing around". On the other hand, I'm just on my second charge cycle yet.

It's also important to point out that when I bought the phone I missused the battery in the following ways:

1. I used the battery without charging it first (to fix the phonebook etc).

2. After that I charged the battery only until it was fully charged. I didn't charge it the recommended 15 hours right out of the box. (Does anybody do that?)

I don't know if the above has anything to do with the fact that my battery drains fast. Just wanted to point this out since I complained a lot about the battery capacity and some people say that the battery is fine. You who have the same problem as me, try to think if you missused the battery from the beginning as I did.

Well I've now had the chance to test this on three K700i phones. The original was from Hong Kong and the two others are O2 supplied.

Every time when I connect to the Internet through the phone using Bluetooth, the phone restarts with the Bluetooth turned off after I have disconnected from either my IPAQ or the Laptop(IBM).

This is obviously a bug, does anyone know how to report this to SE?

This is definitely a problem with the K700. I've tried exactly the same pages on my T610 and they work fine. On the K700 the HTML lite login page refuses to load and the wap page loads but won't accept a valid username/password combination. It's not a network operator issue as I used the same SIM in both phones.

I noticed that when logging in thru the wap page, when it asks you for your password, it defaults to CAPS. If I change it to lowercase and enter password it works fine. I had it bookmarked with username and password (beamed it over from my Z600) and it was working fine, so tried it manually and found out about the CAPS default on the password field.

For those having problems logging in thru the wap page, see if this is also the problem for your phone.
