cool, so the p800 is wider and longer, but not really longer if you think about the added length of the communicam to the t68. Does p800 have voice recorder? How many pictures can be stored at VGA resolution? Length of voice recorder memo total? Irda?

Check it out!! P800 Whitepaper.
It has IrDa - havent seen anything about how many pics you´re able to store, but with 12Mb memory
(heard that the MCA-20 only has 1Mb - and it stores 14 in 640x480)

@ Mr. Noodles
that was kewl of you to direct me to the white papers, I am just wondering how applicable they will be to the final product when it comes out in 2003, it sounds now from the other thread...but the memory stick would be cool for voice recording and photos. Guess we'll wait and see. Would you mind PM'ing me when you find updated white papers...whicih may be in Q4

I have to laugh, otherwise I'd cry?

Hehehe yes

and delivery dates are a sad story
Just read about the "eventuall" memory stick update in another thread - that would make P800 the absolute No.1

Mr. Noodles, do you are anybody else for that matter know if you can turn off the cellular radio when you are in a hospital or something so that the t68 is turned on, just neither receiving nor broadcasting to the cellular towers. That is feature of the P800 so that you can still use the PDA type functions and communicam...any ideas?
P.S. I searched and found the whitepapers for t68 in an earlier thread, but my javascript is running well and I can't register on the ericsson page, my bad

Interesting question, I doubt that you can disable the "broadcasting signal". But it would be really good to be able to use the PDA and Cam functions while in for ex. a hospital.
On Ericsson R380 it wasnt possible

on page 14 of p800 white papers it says "The radio part can be switched off, enabling the p800 to be used as a PDA in situations where radio transmitters may not be used."
this is of major importance to me, and both of you took note of it, but didn't clearly state that this can not be done with t68...Mr. Noodles did say that it couldn't be done with an earlier world phone, so Im thinking that was meant to say that it has not be possible with Ericsson phones before the P800. Am I understanding?
