I don't have Nokia.
I just think it would be much much better if K700 and T630 had external memory.
And much better for SE phones (only P900 has external memory) if they were not limited by Memory stick duo.
As you know memory stick duo pro and MMC supports 512 mb while duo only 128 mb.
Take a look at Nokia with their MMC.

It would be much better if my P900 supported EDGE, quick print, radio and fax.
If P900 was the best phone ever by SE, so why they didn't put best features in it.
Even old Nokia has EDGE and radio.

It would be much better if my ipod 40gb had radio and line-in recording. Opps wrong forum.

There is P800, P900, S700 and Z1010, that have memory stick duo. And 128mb is a lot. You can't have everything.

The MMC slot is the only thing that Nokia "has" on SE. other than that the new phones (reffering to K700 in particular) beat the new nokia in every way (referring to Nokia 6230 & 7600... etc). so the SE phones dont have a MMC, so what? the more than good features of each phone make up for it.

yeah, and having to remove the battery... pain in the ass really, i am happy to live without it

well...maybe some of u guys out there may be thinking hat i'm making some childish comments...but true enough, i'm rather dissapointed in SE's latest fones. especially the k700.

ok, let's get back to the old sonyericsson days of the t68i era. compare the nokia's t68i (6610) and the SE's t68i...of course, many of u would have agreed that the 6610 is better than that of the t68i. but come to think of that, the 6610 is produced quite a while later. the 6610 is a t68i WITH RADIO, POLY (although it sux), 128*128 4096 colour screen, Java, etc etc.. the t68i is a revolutionary fone. and the 6610 is more advanced as it's produced much later.

well, i'm going to use the t68i vs 6610 as an analogy to this topic. 6230 is produced later than the k700 and they belong to the same range of phones. i can be sure that sonyericsson knows that their k700 would be facing a tough competition with the 6230. but...they've lost their minds and produced a k700 without an msduo slot. true. the k700 has won hands down with it's UI and stuff's like that. but come to think of it. 41mb. it's just not enough for a phone that can take 1.2mp pictures, video recording, video playback, mp3/aac player, 3d java gaming, etc etc. no one on earth is not greedy. i can be sure that 90% of the k700 users would yearn for a msduo slot in time to come. when u have a one mp3 in ur fone, u'll start thinking of reasons for another mp3. then the 3rd. 4th. 5th. and 6th. now u've got a wonderful 30 mins of mp3 playing. and wat do u realise? u've taken about 24mb of your k700's memory. wait. there are still many other applications on the k700 that will need lots of memory. soon,u'll be getting 'phone memory full messages' on your k700. 2nd. the casing of the k700. it has lost it's aluminium feel found in it's predessor. sad case. ok, now let's move on to the 6230. 128mb mmc. i've got 25 mp3 songs and a handful of video files. and i'm presently left with 7++mb left for my videos, camera shots and maybe, another mp3 file. the lack of memory expansion is the only factor that prevents a nokia-bugged fella to change to a k700.

yes, the k700 is produced sometime later than the 6230. but...ultimately..where the hell has the expansion slot gone? please..use some sense, SonyEricsson. i hope that this is the last time SonyEricsson is going to make such stupid errors again.

well..i am using a 6230 and my brother owns a k700.

as for y sonyericsson doesnt use MMC but insists on the MSDUO, the reason is clear. it's SONYericsson. not MITSUBISHIericsson, TOSHIBAericsson, etc.

@sebzZ mp, java, radio, cam etc ITS A FONE! I dont buy one cos ms duo or whatever its called. The swiss knife technology isnt for my taste. So pls dont compare fones according fun feaures instead of usefull. Its my short opinion. This message was posted from a T630

A phone is a phone.

All the nice to have functions and features are just nice to have.

What really counts are:

- good and classical design
- bright and clear display
- intuitive user interface
- durable battery
- light weight
- small size
- lots of communication and connection options

And last, but not least:

- the possibility to make and take calls
- the possibility to send and receive short messages

That's what really counts in the end.
