R2J European version...

I can understand if we found difference to HK version but if they have sound in silent mode, I think it is a bug.

I think the differnet in HK version is just the Chinese menu and input
so hope some R2J HK user will tell me they can mute the camera sound in Silent or volume 0 mode

yep this is tru...masseur - 25/07/04 - "yeah it does seem that uk (and europe) purchased K700 do not have camera sound on silent mode, but the hong kong purchased ones do unfortunately.

This is my first post on this board, so sorry if I'm repeating other people's questions

I live in the UK, and I have an orange branded contract K700i

Is there any way of getting the original menus back, or does another phone service like T-Mobile or O2 or someone like that offer one with less interfered-with software?

I don't mind most of the things that orange have done, but the fact that there are bugs in the software, and that orange have admitted as much is irritating. I would prefer to have one that wasn't tampered with at all but I can't afford to buy it sim-free.
