I would be perfectly happy with this new phone and would've bought it if they evolutionised(new word-copyright me) the camera as well as the rest of the phone. I'd rather they had spent a few extra £ on the camera rather than go for for a 262,000 colour screen which according to reviews is virtually the same as the old one !

Unfortunately has another Megapixel phone that's coming out (S700). its highly probable that they didn't want to overshadow that with a megapixel camera-smartphone.

you're probably going to get your wish for megapixel camera-smartphone next year when they have exhausted the sales for S700. but at which time they'll probably have a 2 megapixel cameraphone to replace the S700. that's business for you!

Okay now that, that is out of my system, Lets face it has everything we want except, 3g, Wifi. Mega pix cam.

It is better than nothing, and to all of you guys that think the phone is a long way off I would like to tell you'll not to dispair it will be here sooner than you think,
Eldar said they have already started production,
Sony Says quarter 3
and most importantly a genuine supplier of mine offered me 10 pieces !! at a price of $12000
which is a bit to steap but they are out there in limited quantity and will soon flood the market.

Noone is forcing you to buy it.

aren't discrediting the P900 as worthless.

Quite honestly the only people to blame for dissapointment isn't 's design team, its you (looks around) who thought it'd be jammed packed with new features.

As far as I can see are making it a smarter smart phone, I doubt they'll release a completely new one until the new symbian is available.(makes sense) but an upgrade in the mean time for new owners and current p800 owners looking to upgrade IS a good thing.

I'll buy it, i'm quite keen on it, not owning a P900 personally. The phone isn't aimed at us though, notice the press release said businessmen.
know who they're targetting with this release and its not the businessmen who'll be dissapointed with this. (Quite honestly the average businessman won't give a rats if it has 1mp cam + wifi so long as all his contacts are synced to it)

Larger memory, pro support, a hopefully easy to use keybopard, better screen, hopefully BT Handsfree support now, should all be great bonuses.

If I was a p900 owner I wouldn't look to upgrade unless wanting too, but pro support makes it an idea little mp3 player now and I think that the functions they've changed just make it a better PHONE. Remember its not a laptop.

But hey.. develop something, forum complains its lacking. is quiet for a month, we all gather pitchforks and start accusing them of not supporting us.

I am more worried about the "keyboard" AKA the flip. How would it be possible to to use both hands on the qwerty keyboard on the back side of the flip at the same time as you hold the phone itself??...as I see it then you would hold with both your hands on the flip when it is open and the use both your tumbs to press the keys...but then I am thinking...would that not brake the hinge on the flip/phone?? I really don't think that SE have made a hinge that can with stand the weight of the phone itself so as I see it then phone will "flip over" and brake the hinge... or am I wrong...or??

Or maybe you should actually hold the phone itself and then use your tumbs to press on the keyboard, but that is really not a ergonomic solution, and I think that the force from the tumbs would also brake the hinges......

If this is NOT the case but the idea is to use only ONE finger to press the keyboarb, then I would say: waste of time...because it would be just as easy to use the pen and the display to write on..

Maybe I am wrong or maybe I have just understood the "message" or maybe you guys and gals have another opinion about this....let us all know...please..

Ok, I was the first to complain when the P900 came out 6 months after the P800... with all the complaints of the P800 addressed... now it's the P900 users turn! hehehehe...

Seriously, I can see why they're doing it. They need to make a profit ya know. Nokia is still selling 1990 technology today for a lot more than SE sells their stuff.

I'm not complaining anymore... one reason why is that their new lineup doesn't look as dumb as their first few baby-blue attempts.

Granted they didn't change anything, I like the P900 design and would've cringed if they made some weird bubbly looking thing.

Technology-wise, it's a pretty significant upgrade over the P800. Although it has the same core platform.

I'd love to have a 320x240 version... that's a bit flatter than the P900. The P910 is as fat as the P800... not good. But since it has a QWERTY keyboard, it's forgiven.

I hope the new 18-bit screen is transreflective and won't vanish under direct sunlight.

Duo Pro... VERY good move.

64MB internal memory... another good move.

GPS nav upgradeable... pretty cool

I still think they should add the voice recorder function during calls.

A clear protective sheild should be added to the flip so that when closed, the touchscreen is completely sheilded from scratches.

Let's wait and see... press releases may change once the phone is actually out already.

Thats my penny's worth.

@8legs

read the review on Mobile-review.com. Eldar said that the flip feels stable and solid.
