RE: Memory Stick Capacity of the S700

I watched the CeBit S700 video presentation here on Esato:

http://www.esato.com/news/cebit2004.php?sd=7

The Sony Ericsson representative who was showing off the phone claimed that the Sony Ericsson's memory can be expanded via Memory Stick UP TO 1GB. So I would think this safely means yes, the SE S700i will support the Memory Stick PRO Duo. The 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo will be made available sometime 3rd or 4rth Quarter this year.

Fun, fun.

The CEBit video on esato is dated march. The s700 whitepaper was updated this May 2004 with...

Quote: p. 21
The S700 supports Memory Stick Duo,
a miniature version of the Memory Stick series
which is just one third the volume of standard
Memory Sticks and has up to 128MB memory. A
16 MB Memory Stick Duo is supplied with the
S700.

[edit]oh yeah... some bloke in HK said that it'll be around 4280 HKD there, in two weeks time. But we know water goods prices there in HK, they tend to go down really fast.

Hope the price would just be below 30k, remember that introductory price of k700i is 25k, so we'll be expecting that s700 would cost higher than 25k...baka nga more or less 30k...It's definitely a great camera phone...sadly, according to mobileburn review, it can only support up to 128mb...go to this page if you want to read the review..http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=652&source=SEARCH

but it doesn't matter if it supports up to 128mb only, it's a great camera phone and 128mb is too much for a phone...

I want the S700 Damn I want it so Badly! Ive got a p900 now and I think the S700 combined with a PDA is more practical But nontheless, Ill be keeping my P900 and probably sell it with a PDA/Cellphone replacement in due time, maybe the P910 or P1000, but still I will be getting the S700 thats for sure!
