No no no no!
Box serial is not individual to each Nokia phone, its indivdual to each service box, ie Nokia Neelix 3, Prodigy Box, etc! same as you should you get a version of SE fighter, not only does it identify which box is which it also tells the box with algorithm to use to generate the codes, if you try the ssme imei with different boxes it will generate loads and loads of diff codes, New prodigy is the most up to date on trycktill. but say you wanted to unlock a 3210, which is a DCT3 handset, a year ago you would have needed an LPT flasher cable and some fairly simple sw. however due toi technical advances its now possible to unlock them via codes, but id use a old griffin for a 3210. but hey ho! each to their own!
All the newer Nokias that are coming out are DCT4.5, so you have to wait a month or so after launch to get them unlocked. so whoever asked about the 6230 is a DCT4.5 handset but it can be locked!
and to whoever asked about the States on the Trycktill website, all you need to do is select other country and then input for networks 6 digit ID code which can be found:
http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/index.shtml
if you arew the US though, and are on Tmob or Cingular, apparently they have lots and lots or network ids. so good luck!!
anyone has any more question feel free to ask!
