A mod should've fair amount of access to the pc because vital functions can only be done from there. Can banned members become mods? Or a one shoul've a clear track record?

@plasmadog - Thanks mate! You're just the very first member here who have uttered a postive response to my posting of 'proiliferated' smileys back there! Though sad to say, I just have to limit or even eradicate the habit from hereon! As I am making some folks here happy with their requests . . .
@ayush - As they say, a second chance or a second life to those who have violated the rules still applies !
I do still believe that potential candidates for mods must be very visible 'most' of the time here in the Discussion Forum . . . I am not discounting in any way by any standards the performances of the mods here, specially with those of @masseur, @tranquil and @gowin ! Almost - perfect, a 24/7 at that !
@kimcheeboi - I guess you finally have been officially declared a Garbage Moderator here by . . . your own self at that mate - tehehehehe !
Just kidding here pal !

@scotsboyuk
WILL YOU SHUT IT!!!!!????
esato is DOING fine!!!
there are enough mods, they do a great job.
@jn
just because you are online '24/7' does NOT mean you are worthy of being a moderator. I think Vlamm because she is sensible, has a laugh (like tranquil
) but can be very on-topic and helpful. Boba is too obsessed with ericsson aswell
peace

This thread is getting a bit too personally imho. We should discuss the opinion of @scotty instead of flaming.

Is it?
This is a topic on who others see suitable for being a moderator and why.
It would have to go personal at some stage because being a moderator is personal. Not to the moderator alone but towards all the other members that moderator gets in touch with.
Some of the cases we need to handle is so pesonal that we sometimes feel we know the mother of the member we deal with.
btw...
As far as I know Laffen aint looking for more moderators right now.

@tranquil sorry, maybe i used the wrong phrase. We shouldnt 'blame' or use negative comments. If i like sy, i reply, if i see here a name i dont like, i dont comment.

relax dude
I don't think this thread is suggesting anything at all about team esato not doing a fine job in it's present state. It's merely an open inquiry for what members would like to see in any potential new mod. There is nothing really wrong with that
And in the end IF there should be a new mod appointed it's not any of the posters in this thread..... but laffen who decided anyway. So chill

What a nippy wee sweety! Thank you for that most articulate of posts explaining your point and where you think I have gone wrong. I would like to direct you to my initial post, which in no way insinuates that the current moderators are doing anything, but a top notch job, nor does it say that we need another moderator; being two lines long I can see why you may have missed this when you read through it.
The aim of this thread was to initiate a discussion on who the members of Esato would consider to be a good moderator in the hypothetical situation that Esato was to have another moderator. The last time I checked Esato was a discussion forum and the 'Esato Forum' was the place to discuss issues regarding Esato, like this. Most members enjoy a civilised discussion and having a spot of fun at the same time, which we were doing until you posted.
Your opinion is of course valid, but perhaps you would care to check the validity of your points the next time you decide to post.

What about to come back where @scotty started? Some more such 'discussions' and this thread will to garbage imo.
