What's the screen resolution?

Oh, and going by that Mobile Review page, the D500 camera pisses all over the S700's.

I'd buy this phone it has good BT performance and if it's within the price of K700i. I wonder when it will be released in the Philippines.

with a better screen, better camera and more memory, there's no reason why this phone should be priced under the k700.

expect it to cost just a little less than a s700.

with no IR, no FM, no Memory expansion slot, it should be just a bit higher than K700i but not near S700. I don't expect it to be lower than K700i though.

Nooo, more like USD 550. The US dollar is very weak these days (fallen a lot in the last couple of years).

But then UK prices include sales tax (which is higher here - 17.5%), so it's not as bad as it sounds. And I've not found anywhere quoting a real sim-free price for the D500 yet, so there's an element of speculation here. My own guess is that it will be higher than this for the first couple of weeks, then fall below this level (at least I hope it will fairly quickly!).

I admit I'd not seriously considered either Samsung or this type of slider design until this handset, but I am seriously interested. Will wait to see what it is like in reality though (but I understand that mobile-review are just about to post a review very soon).

I hope this won't end up like the D700 and D710 that they announced but never really came out in the market.

Well its in The Links november buyers guide, showing it available now on o2, vodafone and orange. It isn't on their website or in the stores yet. Must be available soon though. I haven't had a samsung since the t100 i owned for a month, but i have to say, this one looks very tempting indeed. This message was posted from a T630
