The online update flash your phone according to the CDA#
So if your CDA is configured as S700c, after you flash it, it will turn into a Chinese version indeed. So make sure you check your CDA# before fooling around with online update.

I personally admit it now that Sony ericsson is losing the battle with cell phones.... I was a big fan of Sony’s phone from the T68, T610... however lately the phones are becoming.... S**T lack of a better word. Hey I know that the S700 has a great camera and screen resolution. However, Why Sony is F***ing up with the software... and why they did not use the symbian for the S700. Why they did not just use an exact copy from the K700 the T610... Why? SORRY guys... I did not mean to through these things at anyone but... come on some one had to say it..

Well2, it's easy to say that t610 is a 2002 product and k700 is a 2004 product. Will the t610 has os like k700, u kiddin' me right? And s700 dont have symbian on it b'cause it's not a smartphone! It's a multimedia imaging phone with overprized. u should take some note 'bout it mate.

Does anyone but me miss "flight mode" on the S700? I want to listen to MP3, play games and take pictures while flying and visiting medical centers and so on... How hard can it be?
One other thing... shouldn't the keylock be automatically unlocked when taking out the keyboard... ? Just a thought...
