i agree! everything you said is correct! and what good is an item, even if it is available right now.... but is a junk like 7650?! so, yes... i'd rather wait . and yes i will, for the P800.
they keep complaining about the size of the P800, but then you see them buying the bulkier, more expensive, heavier but cheesier 7650?
the design defects of P800, if ever there is, is very far eclipsed by its great features. the memory stick alone is a big point against any contemporaries.

pathetic.
i used to stop nokia bashing here in our place. but now that i hear criticisms against ericssons... it is a lot more easier to criticize nokias!

some interesting news ..
#1 Lens cover: there isn't one. That little black thing on the back is not a switch for a cover, I asked. I was told that the lens is not flush with the phone body, but sunken in, which will give it some protection from stratches. However if you carry the phone in your pocket with keys, it could damage it. The p800 will come with a carry case.
#2 Memory stick .. yes its supported, with no limitation on the size (was told a 1GB memory stick was very close to being released!) supported by the phone, if its a memory stick the phone can use it. One cool feature is the docking station, which is connected to the phone via USB 1.1 The phone shows up as an external hard disk, you just drag and drop your files to it, and the phone sorts them out. If the file is a vCard, it goes into the phonebook, if its a video it goes to the onboard RAM or Stick.
#3 Supports MP4 Video, as well as AAC audio!! Meaning you can have mp3's or the newer mp4 audio format (basically AAC .. see quicktime 6) which is supposed to have better sound quality at half the size of an mp3. Can you imagine a memory stick full of mp4's?? Cool.
#4 Sound quality is stunning. Had it linked to an amp via the headphone out socket. Video quality is damn good!
#5 Colors ... the phone software/apps only support 12-bit color, but the LCD supports 16-bit. I was told it was going to be possible to write a 3rd party application which could use and display 16-bit color.
#6 What comes in the box? The p800, carrying pouch, 16MB memory stick and the docking station

An article in the Express newspaper (uk) stated that all the networks are preparing to 'heavily' subsidise the next generation of camera phones to revive the publics waning interest in mobile phones, which will bring prices down to between 150 - 220 gbp (presumably on a contract).
Hope this is true. A p800 for 200 quid!
