@absinthebri

Palestine does not exist, so how would expect there to be any UN Security Council resolutions condemning it, and as for the "who was there first argument", I would love to know where you think you have gleaned enough research on this to even go there.

Let's just condemn suicide bombers who blow up innocent New Yorkers and defend the ones who blow up innocent Israelis, because they obviously deserved it for being Israeli and, hey, the Palestinians were provoked so that makes the world's biggest double standard just fine.

The Palestinians do not want their own state, they want to free Israel of the Israelis and have it for themselves. That is why, when 98% of Arafat's demands were met at Camp David, the deal was refused. That is why they teach Palestinians in schools to hate the Jews. That is because they have done f**k all with the land that they do have and would now like to take advantage of what a civilised culture has been able to build on the same land where they live in their own shit!

If you think the Palestinians are just a persecuted people, only wanting that which is rightfully theirs, and the ability to live in peace with the Israelis, and that the denial of these things therefore justifies killing innocent Israelis in such a way as they should fear to leave their houses or travel on their own public transport, then you should seriously consider running at the next US Presidential Election.

So this thread turned to this... Sad... @dave an antisemite is the opposite of a semite. The phrase semite incl the jews and several arabians tribals, according their common past in history, so on some way palestinians aswell. This message was posted from a T68i

Wonder where they'll bury him. He always wanted to be buried in Jerusalem.

@boba

I apologise for bastardising the thread if that is what you feel I have done. For reasons I would have thought are fairly obvious, I feel quite strongly(!) on the subject, and some of the hypocrisy and blatant disregard for the truth makes me feel that I have to defend the position of "my" people. I do, however, recognise that, rightly or wrongly, some people, such as yourself, want nothing more than to honour a man who you innocently feel deserves that and there is nothing wrong with that. Unlike some, I can see both sides of the equation, even if I do not necessarily agree with them.

When saying that axxxr is anti-semitic, perhaps I should be more explicit and clarify that I am referring to Jews, which is the current and more popular meaning of the word.

Oh, and the chances of Arafat being buried in Jerusalem are on a par with Bush being buried in Fallujah...tomorrow!

Hey, dave, I didn't mention who was there first. I guess you were so busy typing your Zionist drivel you didn't get round to actually reading my post. As for Camp David, how can Israel 'give back' something they have no jurisdiction over (as confirmed by endless UN resolutions since '67)? I see another poster has pointed out the meaning of Semite to you; saves me the trouble. Come back when you have an INFORMED opinion. This message was posted from a T68i

And let's not forget that Israel's occupation of Jerusalem is illegal in international law. They have no jurisdiction to stop Arafat being buried there if that's his wish. And feel free to look up the King David Hotel in Jerusalem back in '46. See which lot were happy to blow up their OWN civilians as well as 'enemy' civilians. This message was posted from a T68i

Better stop now, for the sake of those who don't want to read "zionist drivel" and for whom my lack of "informed opinion" is offensive.

Actually, it's not for that reason, it's because there's no point in getting this angry and wasting my time - those of you that believe Arafat doesn't deserve to die a far nastier death, and that the Palestinians are the victims and the Israeli (citizens) are the oppressors will do so no matter what anyone says, such is the power of the media - so do, and let the hypocrisy reign supreme!!

Okay, I'll say this slowly. Israel has the right to exist. Israeli citizens have the right to live without fear of attack. Israeli citizens have the right to live in their country free from the fear of invasion or occupation. Israeli citizens have the right to the full protection of international law. Care to acknowledge that Palestinians and Arabs have the same rights, dave? This message was posted from a T68i
