Well, I've got a carina 2 with 180,000 miles on her (1600cc, 16v, carb-for all u youngsters reading that means not injected) and she goes quite well.
I don't know why any1 would want a french motor, my folks went thru about 5 Renaluts in 10 yrs, they ended up getting a replacement gearbox installed BACKWARDS onetime when I was a mere tiddler.
The Mr2 thing's a good notion but try insuring that over here if yr under 25 lol, I'm payin £800 a yr 4 a car valued at £500!!!
Last note...Whay did they have to destroy that nice celica, it prob doesn't drive right at all now!
Well, Lowered 40mm on sports springs and lighter wheels do the trick 4 a few more smiles and grabs at the jesus handles by passengers and the £500 of stereo pumps out 114 dB hehe.
Blue thunder'll have to do 'til I can afford a metallic black Celica Supra 2.8i...6 glorious cyclinders pounding away like the clappers, mmm

A friend of mine's flogging his lovingly cared for Renault 5 Monaco (Mocca brown metallic, 1700cc, single carb, 8valve, leather interior, ew, immobilizer, power steering, sports wheel, yellow fog lamps, original alloys, newish tyres, passed MOT) if there's anybody interested? Just had bodywork restored around the arches and paintwork sorted, only corrosion is around the sunroof but that'll be for the next loving owner 2 sort out!

The uno was chipped, had a boost valve, Variable boost on the dash(a little nob thingy), Dropped 60mm, And a ansa SS exhaust!!!
And ended up with a mad custom gearbox.(lots of work and money involved)
