Well, checking the pricedrops of Nokia 7610, that phone has actually suffered more pricedrops than the S700i in my country! So your statement doesn't hold everywhere. 550 dollars is in the range what T610 costed when it arrived, so I think it's in the perfect price range at the moment - in my opinion, of course.

Yeah but the S700 didnt just arrive its been here for a while now. Atleast over 5 months. Almost 1/2 a year. So 550 isnt a suitable price for it.

That's your opinion. Just because it's a few months old (4 where I live) doesn't automatically make it not price worthy for everyone. As I said, for me it's worth it's price. I'm going to do some serious thinking if I should go for it now or wait for "Clara".

i think a phone is worth whatever people are prepared to pay for it.
i however find that the s700 is way to expensive for me. it should command a premium over the k700 but that premium should nt be more than £100.
i think the reason why it hasnt dropped is that the demand for the phone isnt that high. its catch 22 if they drop the price it will sell more but they will lose profit and eat into k700 sales which i guess is a more profitable phone given the range of customers that would consider this a good phone for them

I think I'll wait until the online firmware update comes and then buy it. As for people who think that it will suffer another large price drop in the nearest future, good luck with your waiting.

I'd like to see myself as realistic. But you just hang in there - as I said, good luck with your waiting.
