@mamba, that's hilarious
@etaab, the handsets are 25% cheaper from vodafone. Again my post wasn't being serious! The vodafone branding in K700i is not a show killer, and the only thing that is a problem is the fact you don't have a normal right softkey (uses the c button instead), instead it's a Vodafone Live button.
The T610 however, was destroyed by Vodafone (I had no idea until I had taken delivery that the vodafone customisations were so crap). 25% of memory on the T610 was used up by crappy vodafone unremovable content! That's were my bitterness is coming from!
When I bought the K700i I double checked everything before I handed over my money.

No its not that simple etaab. Vodafone are a great network, but the branding lets them down!

correcto mundo vanquish, they are a great network. Apart from crappy and demeaning marketing, their service delivery is excellent. They have also pioneered capped voice and data plans in Australia.
The capped plans are the first time I've actually dared to go off prepaid in 5 years!

I agree, i have a Vodaphone sim card which i still use. For the most part, i get good service.
To clarify what i said, dont buy the phone from Vodaphone. Buy it from another operator or sim free. Then, get it unlocked and stick your own Vodaphone sim card in. Thats what i always do with new phones.
Some K700i phones arent too bad branding wise, but i've seen a guy's K700i who i work with and the whole SE icon interface has been replaced with the Sharp GX30 interface - red and white icons that cannot be changed. He also cannot use MP3s as ringtones.
I'd never buy a Vodaphone branded phone anymore, unless the branding suited the phone (the V800 was quite a good example of not too bad branding IMO).
Btw, if you shop around you can get any phone cheaper than buying from retail shops or the operators. I always recommend
http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk because 9 times out of 10 you can get a contract phone from them for free, where in the shops you'd have to pay £40-£200 for the same phone and tarrif.
I also have links to cheap PAYG and sim free websites, but they links not working.

good points etaab.
The vodafone icons are crud it's true. And I've got heaps of time to save up before the w800 get's here (

), so no reason I should settle.
