There's for sure something weird going on with that firmware (R2AL029)... can anyone confirm if it's been released at service centers yet? (If not, I doubt it ever will!)

@all

Just for the record, these problems aren't SE Tool-specific... It's firmware-specific!

I noticed the light grey also. It really looks horrible.
Is there anyway to revert back to R2AE?

@ yozey

Yep, just flash the R2AE firmware.

It doesn't work because the CID on the R2AE is 29 while on the R2AL is 36. Gives an error in Davinci

@ yozey

Even a full flash of the main file and file system?

Here's a workaround...

Download com-version of SE Tool at http://www.setool.net and try to unlock the phone. You will first get an error from the application, then an option to press the power button on the phone a second time... do it... this removes the fake CID36 from your phone. Then reflash it with DaVinci. (Until you have reflashed the phone, it wont work no more if the above procedure is followed).

This procedure doesn't require any credit for SE Tool which is good since they don't sell them no more. You will, however, need a credit for DaVinci in order to reflash. Remember that SE Tool doesn't work with DSS-20/25 if that's what you are using...

This works for me Good luck!

Sorry for a little bit of offtopic byt why isn't SE selling credits anymore? How do you use the program now then?

I've allready asked once how do you byu credits for davinci and what is the cost but it seems that it was a too stupid question so let's stick to the one written above

@cynik

I think there are two reasons why SE Tool doesn't sell credits no more. (1) They seem to have a problem with their internet provider, so the connection isn't always there when people need to use their credits. (2) They want to make business with people who know what they are doing (technical speaking). Many onetime users needs a lot of support.

SE Tool is now for advanced users only. It's called "Standalone" version and doesn't need internet to flash/unlock/modify phones. Instead there are other hardware that's required to use the application now.

For those who only need to flash a few times, DaVinci offers a nice solution. In the very near future, DaVinci will release a version of their client that can modify many more sounds in the phone (including both midi and amr versions of the same built in sound) and other settings that people could modify using SE Tool (at least that's what I have heard - I know nothing about it myself). Many nice features in the phone could be modified with SE Tool using scripts I created: http://www.mobile-files.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5139 These scripts can now only be used by advanced SE Tool users who don't use the former credit system. Many features of what these scripts did using SE Tool will however soon be built into the DaVinci client (at least that's what I have heard - I know nothing about it myself).

I got my phone flashed yesterday with R2AL029 and i still had the same problem... no time & cost menu!!!

So i decided to flash the phone with the previous firmware... and

the TIME & COST menu is back...
I think there seems to be a problem with the latest firmware... possibly!

ENJOY
