Not only that, if both companies dont agree on the way things are going, they might split up, however this is less likely since ericsson relies on sony alot.

I don't really see that as an issue at all because SE itself is a seperate company from either Ericsosn or Sony and so makes its own decisions.

I think we would have seen any major differences in opinion surfacing by this point so I would very downplay this as a possible source of any split.

Why is it we have to worry? As long as we have both I'm not going to worry myself.
I think I'd buy one of both, something on the line of whizkidd's plan. Although I might choose one to be more expensive than the other

Its a fairly new company and tension is yet to arise. So different goals may be an option.

Highly doubtful since any company has one goal that overrides all others; profit. As long as SE is successful and makes a profit then both Ericsson and Sony will continue to be quite happy.

IŽd go with Ericsson if i wanted a phone and Sony for a walkman
And in the meantime hope SE will release a T39m/i magnesium or titanium body perhaps with carbon fibre flip And i am not alone, latest Mobil magazine had a reader wishing for that one as well.!

Althoughht profit is the number one goal, it doesnt override others, although it ensures survival, if one of the members sees it could be doing the same without compromising any other factors, they would split up.

Profit is the primary goal, it overrides all other concerns for a company. Profit is the reason the company is in business.

If either Sony or Ericsson could do as well as SE is doing then they wouldn't have bothered creating SE in the first place. If it was a simple matter of changing a few minor things then they wouldn't have had to bother with SE. Both Sony and Ericsson need SE and I doubt that will change for some time to come, if ever.

No im just stating that its highly probably that they will split up somewhere along the line as it isnt permanant.

They can't just leave each other my friend.

A joint venture is more like a marriage than a fling!

They aren't joined at the hip, but they are connected in more ways than one. I hope this isn't a chance to get at me Yazan because i think if it was it is slightly pathetic
