Quote: Amras i love the screen of S700 too,i'ts so perfect and nothing beats the S700 style.
Think I'm gonna wait for the S700 successor and you know what SE said "Patience Never Goes Unrewarded.
haha.. you got it buddy.
i aggree with you that nothing beats the S700i style.. it swings. haha.. i like playing games in S700i, you can play games two handed.
Quote: @Amras. You seem to be confused about the screens of the S700i and the K750i.
The screen of the K750i is not brighter than the S700i.
They are both exactly the same (262k TFT) apart from the size.
sometimes what specs say doesn't fit with the reality.
i mean, i have Z600 also now in my right hand, S700i in my left hand. it's very obvious that Z600 TFD
65k color-screen is brighter than one TFT
262k color-screen in S700i (i don't say Z600 screen is better than S700i one). more example, K500i and T630 who has the same spec in their screens, in fact, are different. K500i is all way better and brighter than T630 screen.
even the same series of two K700i handsets may be different in their quality of screens. we've seen that some K700i are purplish, some other ones are more yellowish. it depends on production date i think..
i always think that the more the technology is up-to-date, the more it will bring better screens (in brightness/contrast) even if they have similar screen specification, and it's true actually. we know that [b]first produced[/i] Nokia 6600 has a very very low quality of TFT 65k color screen, but look at the screen now. After more than a year, it's been improved a lot. Still the spec say "TFT 65k colors", but the reality can be different.
This is what i really want to discover.. is it true that K750i has brighter and more contrast screen than S700i (apart from the resolution of course)? We all know S700i was produced almost a year ago while K750i is a brand new product... it must be something's changed with the screen although the specification is the same. The change itself, is it an improvement or not, that's what i need to know.
Quote: I don't see the point of having so many should i go in for s700 or k750i, which one is better n90 or k750i....and so on and on and on....
Just search the forum, you know what are the features of a k750i, you know what are the features of the s700....you can decide by yourself.
The phone is'nt out yet....
This post would make more sence when someone actually owns a retail version of the phone and can give you an actual feedback.....
i wouldn't ask if i could decide it by myself.

Quote:S700 is too similar to the k700. And now that the k750 improves on all the k700 faults such as exp mem, mega pixel cam... is it really going to be worth a £100/200 extra just for a bigger screen?
it's not a bigger screen only i think.
the S700i successor can be a 3MP
CCD camera phone with million colors of screen. who knows?
i will surely go for it if it's like what i expect even if i must spend extra money.

The next S series will blow every competitor out of the water.
I'd rather wait, it will be worth the wait.
Hmmmmm ... Maybe 3 MP with tons of memory. The screen has always been a WOW factor.

S700i is so much more stylish than the K750i. The K750i looks really bad, just a little black block of plastic with poor buttons on it. Seriously, looks have gotta count for something. As I have said before, ppl look at u when they see you using the S700i and think it's well cool, whereas the K750i looks like a standard, most basic phone with a tiny screen.

I have to agree with that last comment, the K750i has all the features but none of the style. It is basically a Nokia 6230i design which I do not like!
Should have stuck with the K700i style, just slightly changed!

I can't say that I dislike the K750i design, I suppose the more conservative the design then the wider the appeal and I think SE is pulling out all the stops to make sure this is a hit.

you're so damn right. i am so proud when using my S700i in public places coz people can slightly see that it's S700i because of its swivel design.

Come on guys !! We have seen the k750 now. It indeed looks inferior then s700. Having duo pro support is of no use coz u cant watch videos on small screen unlike s7

PRO duo's are not just used for storing video. Imagine how much more music you can put on the PRO duo compared to the limit of the non PRO duo's. You can also store many more pics (don't forget this is a 2MP camera) and all the games and applications you could care for
There is no doubt that the 128mb memory stick limitation in the S700 is a handicap for some owners and taking the form factor out of the equation (because you either like the swivel design or you don't - and I don't) you find that the K750 has a fresh and more pleasing user interface than the previous generation of the operating system found in the S700 and K700 together with a few new features that members here have been asking for
